Chapter 4 — Free Drink

I was not feeling myself lately, so instead of reading those countless transes piling up on my study table, I finished reading Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover.
That's what I did for the past weekend . . . and I did not regret it at all . . .
Not until Lily texted me awhile ago to remind me for the Microbio quiz tomorrow.
Nakalimutan ko, damn.
Nagka-cram tuloy ako ngayon, kung kailan alas-otso na ng gabi.
Isang linggo na ang nakalilipas after that jamming session with Moonshot . . . and things got a little bit off since then because Martin and I never got the chance to talk about what happened that day.
Ciro invited me last Wednesday to eat out with them but I refused.
My conscious self told me not to go because I know that it will just be awkward for the both of us. Also, I don't want to give ourselves a hard time getting along with each other, so I want to let the time pass before we get back on how we used to be before.
Hindi man niya tuwirang sinabi sa 'kin kung anong ibig niyang sabihin . . . but I get the point.
Hindi naman ako tanga, at hindi na rin naman kami nasa high school para hindi ko mahalata what he's trying to say that day.
I'm not unfriending him, of course! I don't want to lose a friend like Martin!
I just . . want time to breathe . . .
There's a lot of things going on . . . at kagagaling ko lang sa break up with Ravi.

Good evening ma'am. Napansin ko pala sa fb na sarado na Starbucks sa may school nyo.
Atticus, my driver, has been really friendly to me and I'm not even complaining!
I was so happy because he's easy to be with so I treat him as my new found friend . . or more like, a brother.
Akala ko noong una ay hindi kami makakapagpalagayan ng loob but it turns out that he's just a year older than me, and he's really nice.
But he doesn't want to call me Astrid so hinahayaan ko na lang siya na tawagin akong Ma'am.
To: Atticus
It's okay. We can go straight to school tomorrow na lang :)
Alam na rin ni Atticus na mahilig ako sa kape kaya't araw-araw niya akong dinadaan sa Starbucks bago dumiretso sa school.
Binibiro ko pa siya na baka ma-in love siya sa 'kin but he made a disgusted face and blatantly told me that he has a child.
I was shocked. I thought may asawa na siya but it turns out that the girl left her.
Hindi na rin ako nag dig deeper pa dahil pakiramdam ko, it's a sensitive topic for him.
