Hello!

This story was inspired from the murder (?) case of Elisa Lam from 2013 as well as another story about the elevator game that I found on reddit. I'll link an article that talks about the case of Elisa Lam here:

I also got inspired by a bunch of other webistes I did some reading on, but those two are the biggest ones.

The Elisa Lam case is obviously real (it's not confirmed to be related to the elevator game but it's a popular theory), but the reddit one could be real or fake (you can't really tell on the internet what's real or what's made up) but either way, it was quite interesting to me so here we are hehe!

This story is heavily based around the elevator game, but for this story I changed it a little bit. Here's a link to how to play the game (I really don't recommend playing around with stuff like this, this is just so that you have some knowledge on it before reading if you want).

As I briefly mentioned just now, do NOT attempt this game. Whether you think it's real or could be fake, it's extremely risky to play around with paranormal things and there's ALWAYS a chance that things can go wrong, no matter how sceptical you are about it. I just want you guys to stay safe so please don't do this, ever :D

I do not mean to directly copy anything from that story on reddit, I was just heavily inspired by it. If there are any things that are the same, I apologise as that was not my intention and I'll try my best to make sure that does not happen. Some things are bound to be similar though, but not exactly the same (hopefully).

I also tried writing in first person for the first time as I thought it'd be more immersive for this kind of story. I hope it's alright!

And I'll also like to add a trigger warning for blood! There will also be some (somewhat) gory scenes, just to watch out for that. Don't read if you're not comfortable with these.

ALSO!!! There is not going to be that much of a story with this book, which also means that most of the ateez members will have a very minor role in this book. If you're looking for a detailed plot then this isn't that kind of story, I'm sorry </3
