~REALLY IMPORTANT TIMESKIP!!~

I snickered trying to hold in a laugh as Preston face planted onto the tree branch his arms and legs twitching as he fell off the branch falling onto the ground groaning.

His breathing sped up and I knew he was healinghimself...It never ceased to amaze me how he healed himself so quickly.

He dragged himself a safe distance away from the tree and set fire to his palm. I watched amazed as he pressed his hand to his cheek letting the fire trickle like water to his injuries.

The flames grew higher on his face, faded into a small spark, and then all of a sudden nothing revealing his skin with no cuts or bruises.

His eyes scrunched closed but opened one eye to look at me then closed them smiling trying not to laugh but he ended up cracking up rolling on the floor.

"That must have been so funny from your point of view!" He hissed in between breaths.

I giggled as he rolled on the floor gasping for air because he was laughing so hard although he froze when I sneezed staring at me his eyebrows raised.

I snickered trying to hold in a laugh and we stared at each other seeing who would break first but we both broke at the same time.

Preston grabbed my foot and pulled me down with him onto the ground causing the breath to be knocked out of me.

Preston's fit of luaghter turned into a chucke, slowly fading until he stopped laughing all together. A gunshot was heard throughout the area silencing us both.

My eyes went wide and I whipped my head towards Preston who was already in a runnning position. He pulled me up along with him placing me into a running position.

"Preston?" I whimpered my ears flattening as another gunshot was heard, closer now...

He didn't answer me and I realized why when I looked into his eyes. The brown in his eyes slowly dimmed to a blood red scanning the area.

I didn't like it when he did that...It was creepy...It was for certain Preston wasn't a forest mob since he had fire powers but he refused to tell me where he was from or just forgot...

The little horns on his head glowed red, brightening the area just a bit so the shade of the trees were lit up.

Laughter echoed through the area and another gunshot echoed across the forest. Preston whipped his head to see a pack of humans with guns walking around and bolted into a sprint unseen.

I followed quickly behind him, making sure I wasn't seen and dashed after him my feet pounding against the ground while Preston's feet barely made a sound.

I yelped as I heard their footsteps following the noises I was leaving behind but I kept my eyes on Preston, adrenaline pumping through my veins causing me to boost myself faster so I was neck in neck

with Preston. Their shouts were a little further behind and Preston glanced at me, weaving in and out of the way of trees.

He smiled at me and I saw his chest thumping extremely fast it wasn't normal for a living mob...What was Preston?
