Enola and I were now in the busy streets of London wearing fresh new dresses on our way to see Tewkesbury before the three of us must part. I turn a corner to see a large gate with Tewkesbury conversing with his mother.

Enola and I share a look before slowly walking up to it. I immediately catch his eyes as he walks over to me stopping just before the bars.

"Congratulations. you finally look like the nincompoop you were born to be" Enola jokes

"well I for one think you look like a fine gentlemen Tewkesbury" I chimed in with a soft smile, dismissing that this was our goodbye.

"well of course you are infatuated with him" She mocks as a blush runs up my cheek but I simply roll my eyes as he chuckles

"The vote is in an hour. It's, um... it's quite the thing" he says nervously

"I'm not supposed to bow or anything, am I, now you are whatever you are?" she jokes

"arguably you always had to bow you just... chose not to" he answers

"bowing isn't really our thing is it Enola Holmes?" I continue the joke as she shakes her head and chuckles

"are you comfortable and out of that terrible lodging house" he asked Enola

"no I used the reward money your mother gave me and found somewhere new" she answered

"when will I see you again" he muttered to Enola, as I stood not far behind giving the two friends a moment

"your not rid of me yet viscount Tewkesbury Marquess of basilwether." she joked before turning away and bringing me into a soft hug before pulling away.

"be safe okay" I whispered to her

"as long as you do" she answered before turning away and walking into the busy streets of London

I walk towards the now sad looking Tewkesbury as he takes my hand through the gate and soothes small circles into it.

"and what are you to do?" he asked softly

"I am going to go home and marry like my father wishes" I say as I looked down at my shoes in shame

"what! you can't!" he blurts

"Tewkesbury" I start as I bring my hand to cup his soft face "I cannot run for the rest of my life, I am not built the way Enola is and my father will not stop until I am married off and he collects his dowry" I explain as a small tear escapes my eye.

"I must go" I say as I pull my hands away, turn and begin walking away.

"marry me" he calls

I stop in my tracks as I turn around to face the viscount. "i'm sorry?" I say in shock

"Marry me" he repeats "I will pay off your father and we can-"

"no" I state as I look down to the ground in sadness

"what?" he questions

" I love you too much to allow you to marry someone you do not love and subject yourself to a life i'm trying to escape" I say as I allow two more tears to stream down my face

"guards open the gate" he orders as they walk to the Locke and begin opening it allowing me and him to actually touch each other. He wanders towards me and cups my face.

"but Audrey can't you see, I have fallen deeply for you, I knew you were the one that first time we met on the train station, I love you! and I want to marry you and spend the rest of our lives as we did on our adventure" he confesses

"so please, I know its not thought out and I do not have a ring nor a bunch of carnations and roses, but will you Audrey Crimson marry me?" he finishes in desperation

"viscount Tewkesbury the Marquee of Basilwether of course I will" I proclaim and he kisses me hard on the lips as I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my waist.
