ꕥ The best distraction ꕥ

Chaehyun had just finished up his video call with a fan and leaned back in his chair. It had managed to cheer him up for a little while and he was able to take his mind off of Lucas, but the second the fan said their goodbyes he felt all happiness drain from his body.

The staff left the room, giving him some alone time which he was grateful for. He really just wanted to be alone and not bothered by anyone, but alas, his wants were not met when Renjun waltzed into the room.

"We're going to go out and have some fun and you're coming with us."

Chaehyun raised an eyebrow. "Since when have I ever listened to you?"

"Since right now. Let's go."

Chaehyun shrugged and pushed himself up, grabbing his jacket off the back of the chair consequently shocking Renjun.

"Wait you're actually gonna listen to me?"

Chaehyun nodded. "Got nothing else to do."

"Woah...you really are heartbroken."

Chaehyun gave a sad smile in response before making his way towards the door where Jeno and Jaemin were standing, also shocked by how easily it had been for Renjun to persuade Chaehyun into going with them.

Heading out to the car where the rest of the Dreamies plus Shotaro and Sungchan were standing, Chaehyun grabbed the keys that Haechan was showing off with.

"Hey!"

"If you think I'd ever let you drive whilst my babies are in the car, you are wrong. Get in the back."

Haechan mimicked Chaehyun but still did as he was told. Once everyone was loaded into the van, Chaehyun started it up and began driving the destination which Renjun had given him the second they got outside the company.

"The beach?" Chaehyun made a face. "I hate the bea-"

"Happy thoughts!" Jaemin yelled from the back.

Chaehyun forced a laugh and spoke through gritted teeth. "Yay the beach! So exciting."

"Much better," Jaemin applauded and jumped out of the car after Jeno, who was laughing at Chaehyun's pathetic attempt of sounding excited.

Once all of the boys were out of the car, Chaehyun looked into the rearview mirror at himself and let out a heavy breath.

"We don't need a man to be happy. We are the baddest bitch in Seoul. Come on, we're Kim Chaehyun. We're fucking amazing!"

"He's hyping himself up right now," Chenle explained to the new boys as they all stood a few feet away from the car watching Chaehyun talk to himself.

"Does he do that a lot?" Shotaro questioned.

"Yes," the Dreamies replied in sync.

After his hyping up session, Chaehyun allowed Chenle and Jisung to drag him towards the sand. He wasn't resisting but he certainly didn't look happy to be going along with them.

"I hate sa-"

"Did I just hear you say hate?" Jaemin popped up behind him.
