"but then she got sick, and we couldn't do as much as we wanted. we did see the eiffel tower though, that's good enough for me." louis explained, taking a sip of wine.
"aw i'm sorry. how many days were you there for then?" harry asked.
"3 more days. it was suppose to be a week, but she just wasn't getting better. so i got an earlier train and we went home."
"at least you saw the eiffel tower. did you go to the top?"
"yeah, we did, and it was the most beautiful sight I've ever seen. especially since she was there with me."
"you've been with her for a long time. what's it been? 3, 4 years?" harry asked drinking from his cup.
"yeah, actually, there's something i wanted to show you and the boys." louis said, placing the glass on the table and getting up. louis came back a few moments later, holding a small box. "what do you think?" he asked opening the box revealing the diamond ring.
"it's beautiful louis, she will love it. when are you going to ask?"
"once she gets back, i'm going to take her out. i'll ask her after dessert."
"i wish the best of luck to you," harry said finishing his glass.
"want more?"
"could i?"
