"What's Mine, is Mine Only." ~A Possessive TodoKiri Story~

CHAPTER THREE - The Realization

As the bell rung Mr. Aizawa dismissed his students and reminded them to not forget to finish their homework. While all of the students were packing their things Todoroki paused, and found his gaze wandering over to Kirishima. Kirishima was putting his textbook in his bag when Bakugou wrapped an arm around his shoulder catching Kirishima off guard. "You scared me bro." Kirishima said with a small smile.

"Yeah, whatever. You're eating lunch with me today. Got it?" The blonde stated.

"Huh? Well I was actually going to head to library during lunch.." The boy with sharp teeth spoke in a lowered voice.

"I won't let you skip lunch today. You have to eat something once in a while." Bakugou said softening his expression.

"But I'm not really hungry man." Kirishima says looking at his bag.

"Well to bad, you're going to eat. Let's go." Bakugou said before dragging Kirishima out of the classroom.

"It is true that I don't really see Kirishima eat anything at school, but I always assumed that he ate once he got home.." Todoroki thought as he headed to the door of the classroom. "Does Kirishima have some kind of eating problem?" Todoroki wondered as he walked out of the classroom, that was now pretty much empty.

As Todoroki entered the cafeteria, he noticed that it was just as busy as it usually is. He then scanned the room trying to find where Bakugou had seated himself and Kirishima. Kirishima was sitting at a table with Bakugou right beside him. Kirishima was only picking at his food when Bakugou practically shoved a spoon full of food into Kirishima's mouth. Kirishima was startled by Bakugou's action but ultimately had no choice but to eat the food that was now in his mouth.

Once Todoroki spotted the two boys, instead of heading over to their table, got in line so he could get his food. Of course he wanted to speak with Kirishima, but he thought it might be weird if he just sat down without food. He was hungry anyways. Todoroki was waiting in line for quite a while before he finally got his soba. He immediately began to speed toward the table where he last saw Kirishima.

To his surprise, Bakugou was no longer at the table next to Kirishima. Perhaps he had gone to the bathroom, but nevertheless, Todoroki knew that this was his chance. Todoroki quickly walked over to Kirishima and asked, " May I sit here?"

Kirishima looked up from his barley touched food and gazed at Todoroki before smiling and saying, "Yeah, of course man."

Todoroki's cheeks began to flush at the sight of Kirishima smiling so brightly at him. He sat down and calmed himself, not willing to show Kirishima that he liked him just yet. He wanted to be closer with Kirishima before he admitted to having a crush on him. Of course, this won't be easy for him considering that Bakugou wants nothing to do with Todoroki and is always with Kirishima. Just the thought of them so close made his chest hurt profusely.

Then, without thinking, Todoroki spoke saying, "Would you like to hangout after school?" A millisecond later Todoroki realized what he had just said and quickly covered his mouth with one of his hands. After a few moments of shock from both of the boys Todoroki spoke once again. "I'm sorry. I was just thinking about hanging out with you and without thinking I blurted it out. Please forget what I said."

For some reason those words made Kirishima blush. Kiri could feel his face heating up knew he probably looked stupid. He calmed himself a little before saying, "I wouldn't mind hanging out with you after school today." Smiling a little brighter then he had when had Todoroki asked to sit across from him.

Todoroki looked up in surprise, only to see Kirishima's face dusted with a light red color as he smiled. Todoroki began to heat up once more, he had no idea that Kirishima could possibly be cuter than he already was.

With both of the male students sitting across from each other, now flustered at the words of one and at the sight of another they both wondered "How did this happen?"

Suddenly Kirishima began a light chuckle that soon turned into a laugh. Todoroki was confused, though still a little flustered by the red heads laugh.

"We really need to hang out more man! It'd be nice to be closer with you!" Kirishima said not hesitating to show Todoroki another smile.

"Closer? Kirishima wants to be closer with me? Kirishima. Me. Closer?" Todoroki felt something else in his chest this time. This feeling wasn't painful or harsh in anyway. This feeling was....Warm. Tender. Soft. Dare I say that Todoroki was falling deeper. Falling deeper in love with Kirishima.

Now there was no thought in  Todoroki's mind other than Kirishima. The boy who he believed. No. The boy he knew that was absolutely perfect for him.

"So you wouldn't mind coming to the park with me after school today?" Todoroki finally asked.

"Not at all! I love the park!" Kirishima replied happily.

"Then it's settled." Todoroki finished, smiling.

The sudden warmth to Todoroki's voice surprised Kirishima. In that moment, Kirishima's heart skipped a beat. He had never felt so warm and safe around anyone. Not even Bakugou. Perhaps it had something to do with the way that Todoroki was smiling. After all, Todoroki really doesn't smile much and just seeing that happy expression of his face made Kirishima want to smile bigger and brighter.

"Do I like Todoroki? Is that what this feeling is? I've never felt this way before, I could be wrong like I usually am. But for some reason, I feel sure about this."  Kirishima thought just as he slowly looked up, only to see Todoroki still shyly smiling. Though his smile was small and sheepish, it was clear to Kirishima how much emotion was put into that rare expression.

He was sure now. Kirishima was sure he had a crush on Todoroki. Even if the other boy didn't like him back or if he ever managed to collect enough courage to confess to him one day but is rejected, Kirishima would hold onto these feelings. They were something precious to him now. Nothing could keep him from loving Todoroki, or at least that's what he thought.
