Inverted and switched

Chapter 11

    Katsuki sat up in the bed, his now blond hair draping over his face. Casting a shadow over his ruby eyes that were wet with tears.

   He felt bad. He had a feeling that the other him had wanted to switch back. But HE didn't. HE couldn't...

    Katsuki sighed and got off the bed slowly, the feeling of guilt and fear making him slightly jumpy. Jumpier than normal anyway. What if someone else found out what he did? That he stopped the switch? Would they be angry? Would they try to get him to switch back.

Would they be angry if he refused?

    He couldn't help the satisfaction that creeped up him, gripping onto his heart. Though disgust formed in his gut. Disgust and hatred at himself.

He let out a long, heavy sigh. Dreading going to school. He walked out of his dorm after getting changed, going down the hallway and into the elevator.

Iida, sero, tsuyu, and midoriya were already in the common room. I nodded a greeting to which they return.

"Good morning bakugou! May I inquire how you are feeling today?" Iida asked, loud but politely.

Katsuki felt a smile appear on his face. "I-I'm doing good... thanks. Uh- you?" He stuttered shyly.

"Ah! I am doing quite well. Thank you for asking" the tall, engine user bowed. "Although I should go wake kaminari, kirishima, and Mina. Out Bakugo is usually the one that wakes them up" and with that, he was off.

"So, sorry about yesterday. It must have been a bit overwhelming" midoriya apologized. Katsuki couldn't help the small but of suprise he felt.

"O-oh! It's fine! N-no need to ap-apologize" katsuki said. quickly, making the green-haired-male chuckle and shake his head.

"Sorry, I'm still getting to used to this as well" he added.

"So, when do you think you'll switch back? Kero." Tsuyu asked, tilting to head to the side.

Guilt washed over the ash-blond. But he quickly pushed it away and responded with "w-well I'm not sure"

All throughout the talk, sero was oddly quite. And it reminded katsuki of his sero. But that quickly faded when the tape-quirked-male smiled and joined in the conversation. Though he didn't seem all that interested. Katsuki almost felt like he was looking for something. But what?

    Not long later, katsuki sat in the UA classroom, head propped up on his hand. He grimaced at the mental reminder of that morning. He really did feel bad... but at the same time he didn't.

    "Hey! Something wrong man?" Kirishima said, draping an arm over katsuki's shoulders, resulting in him flinching but quickly shaking it off and hesitantly meeting the other's gaze with a shaky smile.

  "Y-yep! Everything's fine!" Katsuki replied, noticing the way kirishima seemed to falter for a moment before smiling brightly at him with a thumbs up and walking over to his seat.

    The bakusquad packed up their things for lunch. Sero glared at katsuki when he didn't even acknowledge them and instead went to hang out with the dekusquad.

  Now, don't get him wrong, the dekusquad is great and everything. But they can't be the bakusquad without... well, without bakugou.

     Sero missed their katsuki, he was loud and obnoxious sure, but he was what held the squad together. Without him, kaminari would be failing all of his classes, Sero would have never become such great friends with kaminari, kirishima, and Mina. Kirishima would probably still be depressed (at least, that's what Mina told him anyway), and Mina would probably be off hanging with all the girls instead of their squad.

   But now, their katsuki was gone. Kirishima and Mina were already drifting apart from them. Kaminari was starting to fall behind, and Sero was doing all he can to tape up the gaps that were forming in their relationships.

     The new katsuki was so scared and fragile, one wrong move could send him into a panic. And this squad was nothing but 'wrong moves and trouble'. So it was probably better he didn't stay near them anyway.

    Most of the class had already left, but the rest of the bakusquad was slower.

    "We need bakugou back" kaminari said out loud, raising his head up. Everyone looked over to the electric blond, noticing with a wince the tears that were forming.

     Kirishima nodded in agreement, "if he doesn't come back soon. I'm worried what will happen to us..." added. Everyone responded with a grim nod.

    "Even if he was explosive and a bit mean here and there he's what made the bakusquad... well, the bakusquad" Sero voiced, everyone looked at him, seeing a spark of determination light up in his eyes.

    Mina seemed to understand how he felt and a smile arose on her face as she slammed her hands down on the desk. "All in favor of joining team 'get our bakugou back' say 'I'"

"I!" Everyone said in unison.

    And with a new goal in mind, they set off towards lunch.
