Chapter 6: Stupid?

On the second lesson of Patronus charms and after a lot of practice, Albus had successfully produced his Patronus charm which tuned out to be a stag, the same as his father's. "Symbolises strength, ability and guidance." The professor had said. Lucas' Patronus, he figured out, was an otter after he accidently summoned it in the library while practicing. The librarian explained that the otter represented knowledge, a little bit of fun, but could also be defensive. Lastly, Avan's Patronus, which was a fox, symbolising grace, slyness and stealth. None of which, ended up being a naked mole rat.

"Yours is so cool Avan!" Albus said, "Foxes are really intelligent."

"Unlike you." Avan laughed

Albus was taken aback by this, she didn't mean that... right?

"Al!" A voice said from behind him. Scorpius, Albus's heart fluttered, "Wow Avan! A fox, cool! Um, so Albus, where's Lucas?"

"I don't know, why do you need him?"

"I needed help with potions."

"He's probably in the common room." Avan said.

"Oh, okay!"

The two boys headed to the common room as Avan walked around the castle, showing off her fox. They found Lucas in the common room listening to music.

"Can you dance like a Hippogriff!? Na na na na na na na na na, Flyin' off from a cliff! Na na na na na na na na na, swoopin' down to the ground! Na na na na na na na na na!" Lucas was signing along with the music magnificently.

"Lucas! LUCAS!" Albus had to yell.

"Oh, sorry guys." With a wave of his wand, Lucas turned off the music, "What do you need?"

"Where is this music coming from?" Scorpius asked.

"The Gramophone."

"But, what type of music is this?" Albus looked confused,

"Older- Never mind. Anyway, did you need something?"

"Ah yes, we wanted to ask for some help on potions." Scorpius explained, "That, liquid luck thing... Felix Felicis."

"Ah yes, so you need an Ashwinder egg..."

"Ugh, why do I like Albus!?" Scorpius told Lucas, "He's so stupid..." Scorpius blushed and smiled goofily at the thought of Albus.

"He isn't that stupid." Lucas replied.

"He literally came up to me and asked where his wand was, and it was in his hand."

"Oh, well then."

"Yep," Scorpius blushed even more at that memory, "Ugh he's just so cute though!"

"Oh my god you just called him stupid!"

"Yeah... but he's still cute!"

"If you say so." Lucas smiled.

"I do say so!"

"Well then why do you call him stupid!"

"Because he is! Stupid AND cute!"
