I wake up but don't open my eyes. I smell cinnamon and a weird smell I can't describe. It's cold, very cold. I open my eyes to a white room with medical equipment.
I sit up, rub my eyes and, look around the room. When I look to my left I see Emma asleep in the seat next to me
"Emma?" I say surprised. The sound of my voice wakes her up and she looks at me then smiles.
Emma: rise and shine
Regina: what happened?
Emma: you passed out, How do you feel?
Regina: fine just a little headache.
Emma:what's the last thing you remember?
Regina: I remember talking to snow then everything went black.
Emma: what where you talking about?
Regina: nothing, she was just going to help me with something.
Emma: Regina i-
Emma starts to say something but is cut off by dr.whales footsteps
dr.whale: good you're awake, I just came in here to check on you and see if you where awake. I don't know why the sheriffs here would you like me to call security?
Regina: no, she's fine. Am I ok to go?
dr.whale: you should probably stay a little longer. we took some test to see why you blacked out. The results should be coming back shortly.
Regina: how long will that take? I have important things I need to get back to.
As soon as I say that his pager goes off.
dr.whale: welp there they are, I'll be back with your results.
Regina: where you saying something?
Emma: yes, Regina I'm sorry for pushing you away. I don't want to live without you anymore than I already have. I Was thinking about how you could be feeling about this and I relied it wasn't fair to you.
Regina: what are you saying?
Emma: if you would take me back...I would love to resume our relationship.
Regina: I'd love to, Emma
Emma then leans in the space between the bed and the chair causing our lips to meet once again. She puts her left hand behind my head and I wrap my right arm around her neck. We instantly pull away when we hear footsteps.
dr.whale enters the room and stands infront of the bed and holds up a clipboard. He then starts to read off of the board.
dr.whale: I have your results right here. Says here, you passed out from getting worked up and stressing. you can't do that when your pregnant.
Regina: pregnant!!? That's not possible it must be a mistake
dr.whale: nope not a mistake. You're two months pregnant. looks like somebody had fun during the missing year.
Regina: how did this happen?
dr.whale: I think you know how it happened
Regina: you can leave now
He then puts the clipboard on the end of the bed and leaves the room.
I look over at Emma
Regina: still wanna be with me?
She laughs and says
Emma: till death do us part
I look into her eyes and smile. I lean in and my lips meet hers. I pull away look down I put may hand on my stomach and say
Regina: I'm scared, I'm going to get fat and in about seven months there's going to be a baby riping it's whay out my-
Emma: hey, you'll be ok. Everything is going to be ok.
Regina: how could this have happened? I can't have children
I whisper under my breath
Regina: ok, do you think whale is going to tell everyone
Emma: isn't there a doctor patience confidentiality? Do you really think he would do something like that?
Regina: yes, yes I do.
When I say that my phone goes off. I look at it and see that snow texted me
*Over the phone*
Snow: she couldn't find anything from the shaw
Regina: how did you get my number?
Snow: I got it from Emma, why does she have your number?
Regina: she's the sheriff and I'm the mayor we need to keep contact. Thank you for your help.Delete my number from your phone!
I put my phone down and look at Emma. She looks in the other detection trying to make it seem like she wasn't reading my messages
"What, so you don't trust me?" I jokingly say with a little laugh
"No, just cerous" she says with a smile
"It was just your mother, believe me I would never leave you for her"I say and it makes Emma laugh
Whale walks back into the room and says "Regina, you're free to go"
He walks back out and Emma says "do you think he heard us talking?" Emma says looking a little concerned
"No,why?" I say
"I thought I heard someone by the door while we where talking. Guess it was just my imagination"
