Chapter 3 Secrets

Athena woke up, her two roommates gone. She decided to get ready for the day. She got up fed her kitten, brushed her teeth, got dressed, etc. Once she was all dressed, she headed down to the Great Hall. She went over to Tom.

"Morning Tommy."

"Morning Athena." She sat down next to the boy.

"Have you seen Ashley and Diana?"

"Your roommates?"

"Yes."

"No."

"Are you going to talk to them about last night?"

"I will when I find them, love." He kissed her cheek. Athena began eating her breakfast. Tom suddenly got up.

"Hey.. where are you going?"

"To study."

"Again?"

"Yeah.."

"Aww ok. Bye Tom!"

"Bye beautiful." Tom exits the Great Hall and Athena continues eating.

"Athena right?" She looked up and saw a Ravenclaw girl staring at her.

"Yes.. Who are you?"

"I'm Myrtle."

"It's nice to meet you Myrtle. Would you like to be my friend?"

"Sure." Myrtle sat down across the girl.

"So.. what do you like to do around here?"

"Go to Hogsmeade, but I don't get to do it that much."

"Why?"

"The girls pick on me and I spend all my time in the bathroom, crying."

"You poor thing.. I'm sorry. I'll protect you Myrtle."

"You will?"

"Of course! That's what friends do."

"Thank you Athena."

"No problem. I have to go now. I'll see you later?"

"Yeah. Bye Athena."

"Bye Myrtle!" Athena made her way back to the Slytherin common room. She laid down on the black leather couch.

"Hello princess."

"Tom! How was it?"

"How was what?"

"Studying.."

"Oh it was good. How are you darling?"

"Great! I made a new friend."

"Who?"

"Myrtle. She's a Ravenclaw."

"Moaning Myrtle?"

"Moaning Myrtle?" Athena said in confusion.

"That's her nickname since she weeps a lot."

"Oh.. yeah her."

"I wouldn't be friends with her if I were you."

"Why?"

"She will depend on you constantly. Look how fragile she is. If you keep offering her support, she would just keep using you."

"Oh.."

"But you can make friends with whoever you want. I don't care."

"Ok.. I'm gonna go to my room now."

"I'll see you at lunch then?"

"Mhm." The girl went up to her room, but when she opened the door she saw something horrifying. Lying on the ground were two corpses, Ashley and Diana. Someone put their hand over Athena's mouth to stop her from screaming and shoved her inside the room. The person then locked the door. Athena turned around.

"Don't scream." Tom said.

"W-What? They're two bodies on the ground!"

"Shhh.."

"Tom.. what's going on?"

"I killed them."

"What!?"

"Shhh!"

"I killed them for you. Friends do anything for friends. They kill for each other. Since we're dating, you have to live up to your promises. And you keep each other's secrets. Alright?"

"You killed my friends.."

"They were never your friends, Athena. They're fake. They hated you. You should be grateful."

"T-Thank you.."

"Since we're dating, I need to tell you some stuff. If I kill for you, you need to kill for me. You should listen to the other partner and do as they say. So whatever I tell you to do, you do it. Alright?"

"Mhm.."

"You will not tell anyone about this or what I'm going to tell you next. Ok?"

"Yes.."

"Make an unbreakable vow."

"W-What?"

"Do it."

"Ok.." Tom grabbed her arm.

"Do you promise not to tell anyone what I tell you?"

"I promise."

"Will you do as I say? Even if it meant betraying someone close or even killing?"

"I promise."

"Do you promise to join my army?"

"Army?"

"I want to take over the world. Will you join me?"

"Yes.. I promise."

"Excellent."

"What do we do about the corpses?"

"Stuff them in a bag or something and we'll bring them to the black lake. We will then throw them in the lake, where no one will find them."

"Ok.."

"Let me show you something." Tom got up and left the dorm and common room. Athena followed him to the girls bathroom. He then went in.

"Tom you're not supposed to be in there.." She went inside. Suddenly Tom began talking in some weird language. The bathroom revealed a secret passage. "What.."

"Go down."

"Go down there?"

"Do as I say!" The girl went down and was now in a new area. A few seconds later, the boy showed up.

"Tom where are we?"

"The Chamber of Secrets."

"Like the legend?"

"Only it's not a legend."

"Does a monster live here?"

"A basilisk. I can control it since I can speak Parseltongue."

"Parseltongue.. like the snake language?"

"Yes."

"That's cool.. Why are you showing me this?"

"Since we're dating, we shouldn't keep secrets. I want you to join my army to rule the world. Will you?"

"I did promise I would, so yeah."

"Good." He smirked. "Would you do anything for me?"

"Yes."

"You would kill for me?"

"Yes. Of course, Tom."

"Wonderful."
