"please tell me i took a wrong turn again," clay hummed to lydia who sat in the passenger seat while he was driving.
"i have to get home someday, you making wrong turns won't change that," lydia stated with a laugh.
clay was driving lydia back to her house, wanting to spend more time with her. they've been driving for two to three hours now, with a lunch break in between of course.
"can't you stay for a few more days? i have to drive back anyways," clay asked in hope, clearly not wanting the girl to go home.
"i wish i could," lydia replied while looking over at him. "but i can't. you didn't have to drive me all the way home."
"sure i did!" clay scoffed, moving his hand over and placed it on her thigh. "i want to spend more time with you before we spend the next few weeks or months only seeing each other on face time."
"that's cute," lydia laughed. "cringey, but cute," she added causing clay to chuckle.
"shut up," he hummed before making a turn.
"that's the house!" lydia pointed to her parents house where she had to pick her up cat. "mum and dads not home so you're not meeting my parents yet! avery is though."
"your sister?" clay asked to clarify, lydia only nodded.
"yep! you ready to meet the brat?" she asked as he pulled into the driveway.
"depends, is she scary?"
