Rose's P.O.V
I walked quietly as the moon shone brightly in the sky. The streets were silent, my footsteps echoing around.
I kept my head down, holding my keys and phone in my hands. I looked into the alley as I passed by it. Thinking back to last week, I sighed.
I hope that man is okay. I couldn't find him even if I tried, he didn't tell me his name. I realised this as I walked home that night.
As the memories passed through my mind I found myself blushing. He was undeniably attractive.
I would have asked him out if I met him somewhere else. Asking someone out while he is stabbed and you are tending to it isn't exactly a great scenario.
I could hear some noises as I came closer to another alley. My pace quickened when I heard a scream.
Instinctively I looked towards the source of the scream and my breath hitched.
I shouldn't have seen it. The man looked at me. I should run away. I know I should. But my feet refused to move.
He walked towards me kicking the wounded guy to the ground. My feet shuffled and I finally started walking.
I started running as he came closer and closer. I learnt atleast something from this, I should stop looking into alleys.
My breathing became heavier as I ran to my full capacity. I could hear the footsteps behind me.
He was close. I kept running, my body wanting to stop. I felt a hand on my back and I was yanked backwards.
He grabbed me by my throat. I clawed at his hands but his hands tightened more.
I struggled for breath. I thrashed and kicked him but he was strong.
"Please let me go." I gasped out as darkness engulfed me.
I groaned and tried moving my hands. I couldn't, panicking I tried standing up. But I couldn't do that either. I opened my eyes completely, to be greeted by an empty room.
It looked like a basement. The walls were bare as well as the rest of the room. The only furniture was the chair I was tied to.
My throat burnt and the ropes cut through my skin. I tried screaming but nothing came out.
I heard a door opening and someone entered. I squinted as the room was suddenly brightened.
That man- the murderer stood infront of me smirking proudly.
"Enjoying yourself?" He asked bending down to look me into the eyes.
"Answer me!" He shouted as he grabbed my face. I whimpered.
Tears threatened to fall as he laughed. "That's more like it." He snickered and let me go.
"Let me go." I said but it barely came out as a whisper.
"What did you say?" He mocked. "I can't hear you."
Tears finally started falling down my face. "Please." I cried out.
I looked at the other man standing in the corner. He had a straight face on. He even looked kind of bored.
I pleaded through my eyes but he just averted his eyes. I closed my eyes tightly hoping to wake up from this nightmare.
I heard a laugh and sharp stinging pain on my right cheek. "Keep your eyes open."
I slowly opened my eyes and another slap landed on my cheek.
It burnt so bad that it felt like my skin was being removed. Something dripped from my cheeks and I realised it was blood.
"He is on the way, he will take care of you now." He said giving me a smile that sent chills through my spine.
Alexander's P.O.V
I walked towards the basement. Jack called me earlier saying something about a murder witness.
It's a nuisance. Having witnesses, to anything. I can't have people running their mouths to someone they shouldn't to.
I opened the door and stepped inside. Jack came towards me and greeted me.
Max followed and explained everything. "You should have been careful." I said as I patted his back. It was a warning, he knows that.
I don't like it when my people mess up their job. They lose their job if they repeat their mistakes.
I noticed the girl tied to the chair. I don't like hurting girls. I walked towards her and stood infront of her.
She was looking down, her hair draped around her face.
I tugged at her face and she looked up. I heard her gasp and my heart stopped beating for a moment.
"Angel." I whispered as I crouched down. Her eyes widened, I could see the fear and confusion in them.
I noticed the red handprints on her cheek and throat. I gently touched it but she flinched. I untied her slowly careful not to hurt her anymore.
"Who did this?" I asked keeping my eyes on her.
She didn't say anything but slowly looked towards Max. I couldn't control my anger, as I walked towards him.
I grabbed him by his throat and picked him up. Jack ran towards me.
He stood silently knowing better than to stop me. I dropped him to the floor as he struggled to breath.
I held her hands as she stood up but immediately lost her balance. I caught her in my arms and helped her up.
Picking her up bridal style, I left the room.
Rose's P.O.V
My hands clutched around his shirt as he walked with me. I hid my face in his chest too scared to look up.
I heard a door open and close. He gently laid me down on a bed and walked to somewhere.
He came back with a first aid box in his hand. I had a million questions to ask but I was too tired and in pain to say anything.
He applied medicine to my wounds and tucked me in bed. "You should rest."
"Can I go home?" I asked.
"I am sorry angel, but I can't do that."
"Why?" I asked as tears fell again.
He wiped them with his thumb and whispered. "I promise I will keep you safe and won't let anyone hurt you."
"But-but I want to go back. I can't stay here." I said as my eyes drooped.
"I am sorry angel. But you need to stay here." He said. "Rest now."
He stood up and I felt myself nod though I was too sleepy to remember correctly.
