Rose's P.O.V

Days turned into weeks and I got accustomed to this house. I was still very much frightened of the people living in the house, I have no idea how many people actually live here, they keep coming and going.

But it's okay, it's fine. Alex doesn't leave my side very often. It's not that he doesn't trust his men (as he calls them) it's that I don't trust them.

They can easily kill and bury me somewhere and tell Alex that I ran away. Or they can shoot me saying I was trying to run away. There are endless possibilities and I don't want to risk anything. So I spend my day following Alex and it's fun.

Well not exactly 'fun' but it's not bad. He is fun. I enjoy spending time with him. I realised that he hasn't tried many fun things, but after last time I didn't dare to ask him about it.

It's a sensitive topic and I didn't wanted to upset him. I wanted to watch some movies again with him because it's so fun but today he is busy.

He personally asked me not to disturb him and that he will be in his office. I said very politely that I can stay in his office and that I won't make a single noise but he declined.

Which leads to my current situation of lying down on bed bored thinking of what to do. I could watch the movie I wanted to watch with him but it's not fun. Not without him.

Since I don't want to die of boredom I decided to roam a bit. Not outside obviously. I still haven't seen the whole house, I can't really ask my kidnappers to show me around the house. And I never really got the chance to ask Alex.

I peeked out opening my door just a little bit. Seeing that no one was out in the hallway, I opened the door fully. I have seen this floor already. It only consists of my room, Alex's room and his office.

As I walked towards the stairs I noticed something. Another door at the very end of the hallway. Confused I peered at it.

Alex didn't say anything about it. He told me that there were only three rooms. Now I know that I shouldn't go to that room, it's wrong so I went downstairs.

I roamed the hallways, not really interested in any of the rooms, the mystery door staying firmly in my mind. The curiosity was killing me. A little peep won't hurt, will it?

Finally giving up, I quickly ran upstairs. I looked through the hallway properly to make sure no one was around. I slowly walked to the room and stood infront of it.

I placed my hand at the doorknob and took a deep breath. Should I really open it? What if Alex gets mad? But he won't know, will he?

Making up my mind, I turned the doorknob. It's locked.

"What are you doing?"

Turning to the direction of the voice, I saw Jack standing and glaring at me. I retracted my hand and walked towards him.

"I was just roaming around." I said.

"Why?" He asked still glaring.

"I was bored, why do you care even?" I asked getting angry now.

"It's my job."

"Following me around?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"Making sure you don't get yourself killed." He replied. "You might be living in a fairytale of yours but there are many people in this house who will kill you without a second thought."

I gulped scared but I couldn't let him see that. "Why? What did I do?"

"Because of you Max was almost removed. And instead of getting punished you are living here as if it's your own house."
