Alexander's P.O.V
I left her to sleep and went back to the basement. Max was sitting on the chair talking to Jack. They stood up seeing me.
"That hurted like hell. Can I ask why you did that?" Max asked.
I raised an eyebrow. Smirking I said, "Are you questioning me? Last time I checked I was the boss here."
His face paled and he immediately apologised. "You should have made sure not to have any witnesses from the beginning. Make sure this doesn't happen again, understood?"
He nodded and I left the room with Jack following me. Entering my office I sat down, ordering Jack to sit too.
"Ask some men to buy clothes and other necessities." I said.
"For that girl?"
I nodded. "Also get someone to clean a spare room."
"Will she really be living here?"
"Yes, do you have a problem with that?" I asked. Jack is my most important and trusted man but I don't like someone challenging my authority.
"Ofcourse not but why aren't we following the rules? She is a witness we need to kill her."
"No one is hurting her. Don't even think of touching her and make sure no one else does."
He nodded, "Shouldn't we atleast do a background check on her? Just to make sure."
"Go ahead then. You should leave now."
He nodded and left. I sighed thinking about her. She has reserved a special spot in my heart. I want to- no need to protect her.
She saved me and I will do the same. I owe her. I owe my life to her. And I don't like owing anything to anyone.
Rose's P.O.V
I woke up a few hours later. The sun wasn't out yet and the weather was cold. I got up from the bed and looked through the room.
It was beautiful but empty. Like a hotel not someone's home. It didn't had anything personal. No photos or knick knacks.
The closet was filled with men's clothing and it smelled familiar. The scent calmed me. After sniffing the blankets a few times like a pervert, I recognised the scent as his.
I still don't know his name. I will ask him when I see him again.
I felt filthy in my clothes. They reeked of blood and sweat. I wanted to shower but I don't have anything else to wear.
I glanced at the closet. Should I just borrow some clothes? I will tell him. He won't mind right?
I looked through the clothes most of them were suits. I finally found a hoodie at the very back of the closet. It looked like it hadn't been worn for a long time.
I took it and went to the bathroom. I was in awe after seeing it. It was all marble and gorgeous. I turned on the shower and went to stand under the warm water.
I felt so much better. I squeezed a generous amount of the body wash. It smelled like him.
After drying myself I wore the hoodie. I was almost engulfed in it, it was so large. But it felt nice.
I was drowning in his smell. Everything smelled like him. The room, the hoodie, me.
I sat down on the bed sinking into the comfort. Everything felt so nice that I almost forgot why I was here. Almost.
After a few hours, someone knocked on the door. The door opened without waiting for my answer.
He looked taken aback. "I wasn't expecting you to be awake." His eyes raked over my body and I felt myself flush underneath his gaze.
