June and Ellie have always been best friends that is until Ellie gets married, leaving June in the dust. In order to occupy her time (and get a new friend), June adopts a puppy who has had several injuries (heart attacks). June cares so much for him to the extent that she suddenly wakes up in the morning with the sudden power of hearing her dog's thoughts.
