I was rudely awakened by a cold wing on my back. "Wake up. Please!" the frigid creature cried. I stirred, peeking out through a slotted eye. I saw a familiar face perched above me. I stood, stretching. "This must be very important," I observed, "You almost never leave home to visit me."
"It is extremely crucial. I regret to inform you that they have captured him."
"Who are 'they'? And who is 'him'?"
"Our brother. They tried to force me to battle him, but I could not. I fled, and you are the only one who can help."
"Again, who are they?" I inquired. My sister has trying to keep her composure, but she was starting to falter.
"The humans. After securing our brother, they came for me. I-" A loud explosion interrupted her, shaking the old building we were in. My sister promptly lost it. "We have to go!" she shouted, "They're coming for you! RUN!" She fled through the back enterance. I heard human voices coming from the main enterance, and went to investigate. Peering around a corner, I spotted the intruders. They were dressed in all blue, with a white 'F' emblazoned on their chest. I stepped out to confront them.
"Ah, there you are. We've been expecting you," one of the humans said, smirking. He held out a pokéball, but this one was different. It was pitch black, with the groove in between the top and bottom half colored red. It didn't faze me. I get caught all the time. After a month or so I always got out, a minor inconvenience. If worst came to worst, I could destroy the ball easily. Someone else threw a pokéball identical to the other one. It clicked open, and out came my brother. "Good day," I said, "How are yo-" I narrowly dodged an attack. "Hey, watch it!" I snapped. Then something caught my eye. My brother's eyes were a solid red. I dodged another attack. My brother would never attack me this brutally! The third attack made contact. Obviously my brother had been training. That hurt. Before I had managed to recover, I was attacked again. I didn't have much energy left. The human knew this too, and threw the ball he was holding in response. I saw it arc towards me, and open as it came close. A blinding flash of light filled my field of view. When it cleared, I saw the inside of the pokéball. It was just like any other ball, save for the holes riddling every surface. I took at closer look at one. It was too dark to see anything. Suddenly, a hissing became audible. A few seconds later, the holes started spewing gas! The gas filled the ball. I couldn't think strait, I was dizzy, and, for the first time in my life, I was scared.
