"Bye mom! Going to Book Club." I say as I put on my northface leather sweatshirt.

"Oh, bye honey. Oh please try to make some friends today." My mother says as she rushes out of Iris's room to come and talk to me.

"I told you mom, Cassius is my friend and no one wants to be my friend. I'm that girl in class that will get you in trouble. I don't need anymore friends anyways. Most of my friends are in my books." I say to my mom as I stop packing my lunch and look at her.

"Well, a guy friend and books won't help you in tough girly situations now will they?" She reaches over and holds my cold hand and looks at my with worried eyes.

"You at least need a couple girl friends to-" I cut her off immediately. I quickly rush to Iris's room, but she is not there. Her window is open and I see her across the street on the roof of the Bank. I rush to the window and unzip the back of my leather jacket. My mom rushes past me to the window and starts to yell at Iris to come in.

"Mom move. I will go get her." I say slightly pushing mom to the side. I jump out of the window and my glossy, dark-grey wings violently cut through the air to the bank.

My dark brown hair flows through the air as I land in front of Iris.

'What the hell do you think you're doing!?" I screamed at her. "Some one could've seen you! These earthlings do not exactly like us. Mom had to basically sell her freedom so w could live here and you keep exposing yourself!" I scream at her while waving my arms around like a mad woman.

"This is one of the most busiest streets in Chicago." I point down to the street full of honking cars below us.

"Listen I understand that you will be sad tomorrow on my 16th Birthday when I leave for Heaven or Hell, but just know that you are not alone! You have Azie and Azrael." I grab her shoulders and try to bring her in for a hug, but she pushes me away.

"You may be leaving tomorrow with Cassius, Amy, and Amon, but I am leaving next week with Azie and Azrael. You know that the bad side in you will take over in bring you to Hell!" She pushes me away and zips over to the apartment.

"Iris, Iris!" I glide over to the window and fold my wings in my back. I zip up the back of my leather jacket and rush over to Iris.

"We are going to be late for school! Your clothes will have to do for today." I yank on her yellow T-shirt downstairs and out the door. Mom is in the car. I push Iris in the back seat and off we go to school.
