I'm sure you are all wondering how Cassius and I rescued Azrael and Iris, but to be honest I don't even know how. It was all get on a motorcycle, get Cassius, then he somehow managed to find them. I bet he has Azrael chipped or something. Ya so it just happened to be at this gaint abandoned factory. It really looked liked it was haunted. I'm actually very surprised that the building is actually still standing.

I take another bite of my cereal, and ponder about me and Cassius' little rescue mission. In the background my 'mom,' whom I hate, is making waffles for Iris.

'How was he able to find them so fast?' A voice similar to mine echoes in my head. I know it is not my voice because I do not doubt anything that Cassius says or does. His actions are like a riddle that has no answer.

"Zuriel?" I turn to find Iris in her foot cast slowly limping towards me. "What are you doing here?" She asks getting even closer. Her eyes are filled with confusion. I would understand her confusion. I mean I just had my choosing a and I am suposed to go to heaven or hell, but of corse I am somehow stuck here. God told me I am now taking hold of Sam's post as the choosings presenter.

"Oh hey. How ya feelin?" I ask not making any eye contact for the fear of loosing myself in tears again. I take another bite this time huge so I don't have to answer her questions right away.

"I-I-I thought you would be gone by now." She pauses and steps colder to me. "Why are you still here?" She asks looking at me with her bright blue eyes wide with curiosity.

Unfortunately my plan with the cereal didn't work. The cereal almost melted in my mouth after awhile. I stare into my half gone cereal bowl. The pieces of my Lucky Charms float in groups and individuals. All scattered throughout my white milk and white bowl.

"Zuriel are you listening?!" She raises her voice. She slams her hand on the table in a demanding way. I know she is pissed, but I can't tell her anything about the rescue or my visions. She knows that, but yet she demands answers from the things I cannot bear to tell.

I jump when the sound of her hand smacking against the table vibrates my cereal. I slowly redirect my attention to 'mom' who has now stopped making breakfast and smiling very mysteriously at me. She is also waiting for an explanation. Our 'father,' who abandoned us when we were very little, was looking at me, but not the way the other two were. He was more concerned if I am actually going to tell them. He knows the Wing's laws and the punishment for breaking those laws. He is one of the head council of the court for when a Wing breaks the laws.

"Yes, but you know I can't tell you." I say blinking my eyes slowly hoping she understands. Of course that only makes her more pissed. She flings my bowl of cereal on the floor and starts screaming and swearing. I couldn't imagine how the downstairs neighbors fell about her stomping around.

She swears so many times that I'm sure I haven't even sworn that many times in my life. My gaze stays fixed on the splattered milk on the floor. She stomps around mumbling, but screaming too. Once every 10 secs she freezes and winces from the pain of her foot.

"Okay, Iris. I think we should let Zuriel be by herself for now." Suggests my 'father.' He puts one hand on Iris' shoulder, but she flicks it off and does a growling noise at him.

"Shut up!!" I yell at both of them. They both look astonished that I actually raised my voice. Especially at Iris. I can count on one hand how many times I have yelled at Iris. Very few, right? Well I am sick and tired of hearing her complain about her life. I'm so sick and tired of hearing her saying that maybe dad will come back and stay with us.
'News flash Iris!! HE'S NOT STAYING.'

I rub my temples and set my chin on the hard table. Since I am not that tall it's not a far reach down. I'm not saying I'm not tall, but I am a bit below average.

"Fine!!" Iris yells and limps back up the stairs. I close my eyes hoping this is just a dream, that Iris and I are still completely fine and nice sisters. Hoping that having wings and getting Iris back is all just a dream.

"Iris honey. You haven't had your breakfast." My mom exclaims as she extends her arm out trying to get her to stop and come back. Obviously that's not going to work. 'Dad' is just sitting there with a huge grin and eyes open. His stare is focused on me.

"I'm leaving." I exclaim and rush to the door. My chair fall to the ground with a huge 'SMACK.'

"Mind if I come?" My 'dad' asks as I am putting on my jacket. "I could use a good, nice, flying time with my daughter." He continues walking closer to the front door. He begins to open it.

"Don't ever call me your daughter!" I yell at him. I slam the door shut and push him aside. Oh, yeah I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but my 'dad' is a Wing. He is/was part of the flock in Flordia. He recently got kicked out.

"I don't care if you come with." I say softer as I exit the door. My mother just watches us. Not doing anything. I don't know if she doesn't know what to do or if she was enjoying it. Well anyway I am finally able to fly.

I leave the apartment building and go into the woods across the street. It is not a large woods, it's just a big patch of trees that cover Iris and I when we take off.

"Finally." I say taking a deep breath in. Then out. My 'dad' isn't following me so that's a good thing, but I still feel guilty about making Iris so mad.

I make sure my jacket has slits where my wings can fit and then put it back on. I unfold my dark wings and get a running start. And just like *that* I am airborne. Watching the apartments, trees, even my little town shrink in the distance. Finally I have some peace and quiet.
