I wake up to the sound of my door closing, I jolt awake to the loud shut of the door. those weren't my maids.
I could see the intruder through to the canopy of my bed. the shadow moves from the door to the front of my bed and I reach under my mattress for my knife and then the person threw open the curtains of my canopy bed to reveal-

"WOAH! Woah, calm down it's just me" she put her hand in front of me like she can stop me
I sigh in relief "u could have knocked! I would have hurt u!" I put my knife under my mattress
"why do u even have that?" she eyes my knife. I shrug and she rolls her eyes playfully.
"so u disturbed me today because....?' i ask her and she suddenly remembers her purpose and shoves a magazine at my face.
I take it and can't help but smile. On the cover are me and Maxon dancing. the picture is from last night. hand in hand, I am laughing and he looking at me with so much admiration, I blush just seeing the picture.
"U ARE SMITTEN! oh. my. god. U LIKE HIM!' celeste screams at the top of her lungs. I shush her but she keeps smirking at me.
"So who is he? where is he from? tell me details!!!" Celeste sits on top of my covers and looks at me with pure curiosity. so I tell her
"he's into photography-" a smirk takes over her face at that, I continue ignoring her.
"and he's a five"
her smirk fades and worry overtakes her face
"what about your dad?" she asks and I shrug. she shakes her head like she's trying to remove her worried face and smile at me. "is he taking part in the selection?" I nod.
"what if he doesn't get picked?"
I smile crookedly "I'll make sure he does" she returns my smile.
"so u don't need me to add aspen's name in?"
"no,he looked happy with that girl last night" I look down at my covers. celeste goes silent then I shake my head and look up again.
" now if you'll get out I have some pleading to do with my father.' she laughs and before standing up she shoves a pillow in my face before I can hit her she runs out the door.
I change in my suit. people like Silvia think it's not appropriate for a princess to wear anything but a dress but I convinced my dad to allow me to wear it inside the castle and he said I could wear it when I turned 17 and today is that day!
ever since I went to visit Nicoletta in Italy and saw that she wore suits I've been dying to wear them and they are a lot more comfortable than dresses.

I look at myself and realize my makeup is not as clean as it is when my maids do it but today I gave them a day off, just a little thank u gift to them; in fact, today was my day off too.
I stand in front of my dad's office and take deep breathes before knocking
"come in" my dad's voice is frustrated. I walked in and find that he isn't alone; my mom is there too and some advisers too. my dad looks up at me and waves off the advisers.
they walk past me all not happy about my suit, I couldn't care less about what they thought; once I'm queen the first thing ill do is hire more women as my advisers.
once everyone is gone I look at my dad; he looks please with my confidence and then I urn to my mother she is beaming at me, tears are forming in her eyes
I walk over to them and kiss them on their cheeks; mom smiles but dad's eye were shocked, I thought he would yell at me but to my surprise he smiles
"honey today we are announcing the selection at the report, well you are announcing it." mom says as I sit at desk near my dad's
"yeah about that, dad is it wrong for me to want to choose the boys myself?"
"not at all, I chose mine-" he looked over at mom "and I found my soulmate" he smiles that smile only my mom gets. mom blushes like a schoolgirl
(i don't remember if that is true or not but it's my imagination soooooooooo HAHA)
"I don't think ill find anyone that will love me" I say frowning
"nonsense" mom says speaking for the time "u are a very lovely girl and a man would be lucky to have u. I'm sure u will find someone" my mind flies to Maxon and last night and I smile.
"but ill choose at least 5 of those boys" dad says suddenly. I nod and stand to leave but my mom's voice stops me.
"by the way, celeste and aspen are gonna be staying here with us during the selection, you know to help u." at first I'm so happy that I'm gonna have celeste to help me pick my love but then I remember aspen.
I cant date other boys with aspen eyeing me.
without stopping, I run to the lady's room to find celeste and tell her everything.
