I painfully became aware of my surrounding. I opened my eyes, gasping because of the brightness of my surroundings. Everything seemed to give off different bright shades of color. I slowly sat up, feeling extremely light-headed. I could make out shapes from the different colors. I was sitting on something white resembling a bed. I had blood red chain looking things around my ankles, keeping me connected the bed.

I watched as a shadow hand snuffed a flicker of something that flickered randomly between orange and red. I tensed as the hand reached out for me. It was all I could do. As it touched me the world dimmed to a dark grey.

I shuddered as I realized who was touching me or rather what. It was a vampire. I shouldn't have been surprised though. It was probally the one that bit me earlier. I slapped his hand away.

He froze for a moment in shock as if he never imagined I'd slap him, then an amused smile made its' way onto his lips. He had black hair that was pulled back into a small ponytail.

"Are you alright?" He asked, right next to me on the bed.

I stared at him. What would it matter to him if I was okay or not.

"I'm going to assume that stare is a yes."

"You have no right to assume anything." I said as loud as I could. Which turned out to be only a whisper.

I watched another vampire stick his head inside the open doorway. He had a creepy smile on his face, made more creepy with his matching red eyes.

I squirmed under his gaze. He was one of the Rabid. The Rabid are a group of lunis who've simply gone insane from a disease. The main sytom of this disease is the red eyes.

"Ah, she lives. What a shame."

"Adare get out." The other vampire said.

Adare held his hands up in the air and stepped back into the hallway.

"Sorry about him. He's out of line."

"He's Rabid." I stared at his face. "He should be put down by now. Why isn't he?"

"He's not Rabid! He's just confused that's all! Now shut your mouth. You know nothing about these things!" His face contorted in anger.

I don't know why it is, but whenever I get some one mad I just want to keep egging them on. Until the snap. "I don't believe you." I smiled. "He's crazy and needs staked."

"No he doesn't!" The vampire shook me, my neck snapped back and forth.

"What's youre name?" I'm not sure why I picked now to ask him, but it seemed like a good time too. Considering that when people or lunis are experiencing intense emotions their guards are down.

"Eadred."

"Why do you insist on Adare being not Rabid and why am I shackled to the bed?"

"He's my brother. I can't have you saying he's Rabid. The others would kill him."

"So you've kidnapped  me?"

"Yes."

"Where are we?"

Eadred hands tightened on my arms. His fingernails stabbed my skin, drawing blood.

I could feel my heart clench as I watched him slowly open his mouth. He stood up quickly, running out of the room and slamming the door. I heard a lock click on the other side. Any chance of fleeing disappeared as I realized the door was the only way out of this room, there were no windows.

"This is going to be fun."  I thought. Sighing, I laid my head back on my pillow. I was starving.

I hope my capture remembers to feed me.
