Jade
"What!" Jaylee shouts. "What do you mean he's out of jail, I thought he was supposed to have 10 years?" She asks frantically.

"Wait, what's going on, someone explain!" Zoi says.

"My dad went to jail when I was 15." I say quietly. "Why, if you don't mind." Sienna asks.

"No it's ok. He um....he use sexually assault me." I let out.

"Oh my gosh, what!" Zoi exclaims. "Oh my gosh, Jade." Maddy looks at me with hurt eyes.

"Yeah, um he use to do it when I was a kid then I finally called the cops on him when I was 14 and he went to jail but it's only been two years since then. He was supposed to be in jail till I was 25 but here I am 17 and he's out for some reason and I'm really scared." I rush out.

"Hey hey it's ok." Jaylee says hugging me. "I'm so sorry Jade, who all have you told?" Zoi asks.

"Nobody but my family and Jaylee knows." I answer.

"Are you going to tell Vinnie?" Maddy asks.

"Oh no, definitely not." I laugh softly. "What why!" Jaylee exclaims.

"I'm scared of what he'll say." I admit. "Jade, I know you guys haven't admitted it yet but that boy loves you, it's so obvious. I think the best thing to do is tell him so he'll be ready when your dad starts all of his drama." She says.

"I guess you're right." I admit. "You don't have to if you don't want to of course I just think it would be best." She says.

I smile up at her and the rest of the girls, glad to have friends like them.

I hear the sway house door open from upstairs and a bunch of chatter enters the house.

Here we go

The boys are all sat downstairs, most of them with their shirts off with their skateboards beside them.

"Hey! Do you guys have no home training? Who said you could come in here all loud, sweaty and shirtless with those dirty skateboards on this clean couch?" Jaylee scolds them as she starts to take all of their skateboards and Maddy and Zoi start throwing shirt at them.

"Yo, what's with the throwing!" Baron exclaims. "That's right baby, we came prepared for this." Zoi nods her head.

"Hey pretty." Vinnie says when he sees me walking down the stairs. "Hey." I say quietly.

"Feeling any better?" He asks pulling me onto his lap. I wrap my arms around his neck as he rests one hand on my back and one over my thighs.

"Yeah." I give him a closed smile. I feel his warm hands on my skin as I only have on one of his shirts and shorts. "You sure?" He asks searching my face as if he's looking for something to be concerned about.

"Uh can we talk, upstairs?" I ask, almost choking up at the thought of the conversation we are about to have.

"Um yeah, let's go to my room." He says hesitantly. We get up and make our way to his room.

I look back and see the girls give me warm smiles, comforting me a little bit.

"You got this." Jaylee mouths. I smile in their direction going up the stairs.

We go into his room and he closes the door behind him.

He goes to his closet and picks out a random shirt and throws it over his head, putting it on. "So what's up?" He asks.

"Um, I think you should sit down." I say quietly, playing with my fingers. "Ok Jade you're kind of scaring me." Vinnie laughs sitting on the bed next to me.

I criss cross my legs and clear my throat. "Talk to me Jade." Vinnie says placing his hands on my thighs and rubbing them, trying to comfort me.

"So, this morning at like 3 am I got a call." I start. "Oh, from who?" He asks. "My dad." I answer.

"Ok, well what's the problem?" He asks confused. "My dad who just got out of jail." I elaborate.

"For what?" Vinnie asks slowly. "Um- sexual assault." I manage out.

"On who?" Vinnie asks, his voice getting harder. "Vinnie please don't make me say it." I say tearing up. "Jade..." He says slowly.

"He sexually assaulted me Vinnie and he was supposed to be in jail for 10 years but it's only been 2 and I don't know what to do because I know he's gonna try to come for me and I'm really scared Vinnie, he's gonna do something to me and I don't know what to do." I say starting to cry.

"Hey hey, Jade, slow down, it's ok, just explain to me what happened." He says grabbing my face to look at him.

"It um, it started when I was 9 and before that we were a happy family but then my mom found out he was cheating and was going to leave him but he wouldn't let her and he threatened her so she couldn't leave then-." I stop choking up.

"Hey you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Vinnie says. "No I want to." I shake my head.

"One night when I was in my room he came in after coming home drunk as he- he was saying all of these things that were unlike him and he came onto me and I was trying to tell him to stop, that this wasn't him but he didn't stop and then he did what he did and it was like that for 5 almost 6 years and we couldn't do anything about it because he always threatened to do even worse things to us and it wasn't just me, he assaulted my mom too but we just had to go along with it or something worse would happen." I explain.

"Then when I was 14 almost 15 I finally called the cops and got him arrested and moved on with my life trying to push that part of my past down but now it's all coming back and when I don't want it to." I finish.

"Jade, I am so sorry that ever happened to you." Vinnie says. "You don't have to be, it was my fault anyways." I laugh bitterly.

"Hey don't you ever say something like that was your fault." He says. "Nobody is the blame but your dad." He says.

I suddenly start to cry, tearing rolling down my face. "Vinnie I just have no idea what to do and I'm so terrified of what he'll do when he finds me." I cry.

Vinnie pulls me towards him and wraps my legs around his waist so he's hugging me. I wrap my arms around his neck, accepting his hug.

"Hey baby, everything is going to be fine, I'm not going to let him touch you ok, and if he tries to come for you I will be right here and so will everyone else I promise you." He says pulling my face to look at him.

He uses his thumbs to wipe away the tears from my face. "You got that?" He asks me. I nod my head and pull him back into a hug.

"I love you." I blurt out without thinking. My eyes widen when I realize what I just said.

He pulls me back and looks into my eyes. A smile breaks onto his face. "I love you too beautiful." He says back pulling me into a kiss.

I kiss back with what feels like all of my body. He pulls back and gives me a goofy smile. "You're a gorgeous cryer you know?" He says.

"Oh my gosh, shut up you idiot." I laugh.
