gone was another day of kirari ordering her around.

y/n didn't necessarily like it, but she had convinced herself time and time again that it was to uphold her cold and icy persona.

she was returning from the storage room that kirari had ordered for her to fetch some files from. they were heavy, but she didn't mind.

it was for kirari.

she smiled at the thought of her.

anything was fine as long as it was for kirari.

she pushed open the familiar wooden door of the student council room, a voice greeting her immediately. but it wasn't kirari's like it normally was, nor was it directed at her.

"please, I don't want to be part of the student council. I want to be your personal assistant!"

y/n's eyebrows flew up before arching at the sight of an unfamiliar face.

long, purple hair that was braided cascaded down her back, glasses perched on the bridge of her nose. her eyes were an empty shade of dark violet, but still somehow shone with obvious determination.

"ara, you want to be my personal assistant?"

a chuckle she had memorised reached her ears.

"yes."

her answer was definite, even if her voice wavered slightly.

y/n's eyes switched to look at kirari instead. a bemused expression was etched onto the face, much like the one she had when y/n confessed to her.

she watched as kirari pressed a finger to her lip.

"i'll think about it, you can go now." kirari hummed softly, raising a hand and waving it slightly.

y/n saw the girl's eyes widened slightly as her lips parted, nodding before running out of the room. she brushed past her, their shoulders touching ever so slightly as she went on her way.

y/n heard kirari let out a small sigh as she turned to her.

"y/n." she smiled, causing her to smile back.

it was one of the things only kirari could make her do out of reflex when she saw her.

"who was that?" y/n asked as she set the files down onto a table.

"sayaka igarashi."

y/n hummed.

"are you going to give her the job?"

kirari only gave her her usual answer that was a smile as she turned away from her.

it made her confused.

it was one of the many things that y/n couldn't understand about her.

she was a whole mystery to her, one that couldn't be cracked no matter how hard one tried.

and yet, it still was what she loved about her.

because it made her kirari momobami.
