CHAPTER IX///NIGHTMARES

Athena's POV///

I was woken up by a ton of groaning and yells coming from the guest bedroom. I immediately knew it was Vinnie. I hope. It was around 3am and I quickly dashed through the dark hallway
and into his room. I ran towards him on the bed as he looked pale and frightened.

"Hey vinnie its me I'm here its gonna be okay" I whispered to him while I engulfed him into a hug. He put his head in my shoulder. I rubbed his head to sooth him a little. He started crying quietly into my neck getting my shirt wet but I didn't mind as long as he was okay. "Its only me no ones gonna hurt you, your gonna be okay" I whispered to him as he nodded slowly composing himself. We continued hugging and I cradled him for a while until his tears stopped flowing and he wasn't as scared as before anymore.

(Damn feeling real single right now💀)

He looked at me with tears in his eyes. We stared at eachother for a while. We were still in a hugging position. He started to lean in. I just couldn't help myself. I always felt safe in his touch. He always made me feel warm and he always made me feel butterflies no matter what we were doing. I leaned forward with him and our lips touched. They fit like a perfect puzzle piece. The sparks were stronger than ever. Kissing him felt like magic. I would never get bored of it. Each time we kissed it always made me felt something. I felt more with him than with aaron which I know sounds bad but the heart wants what it wants. I kept melting into the kiss and into his touch.

We pulled away to gasp for air. We leaned into a kiss again. Our lips moved insync. We kept kissing. He suddenly pulled me onto his lap with out breaking the kiss. At this point I was straddling him. He slid his tounge across my lip asking access to my mouth and tounge. Which I allowed. Because I'm a weak ass bitch apparently. As he slid his tounge into my mouth our tounges danced together. It felt unreal. He made me feel things no man could ever make me feel. He was about to take off my shirt and thats where I stopped him.

"We can't do this" I told him staring into his eyes. "Were suppose to be taking it slow and this isn't taking it slow at all" I said chuckling sarcastically a little. "Yea I get it we shouldn't be doing this" he agreed with me. Not gonna lie that did kinda hurt me. But he was right it was going to far and if I didn't stop it we could've done something we both mightve regretted. "Why were you screaming anyways did you have a bad dream" I asked him. "Well I have nightmares alot when I'm usually not next to someone having someone next to me makes me feel safe" he told me. Then I remembered when we were bestfriends before this happened he told me that he was harrased by his ex girlfriend. She would always hit him and punch him whenever he didn't want to do anything with her. I'm glad he broke up with her and she's long gone.

(Not hate to any of the girls vinnie has dated except for the one that cheated on him you dumb bitch)

Thats why he always needed someone to protect him. He always felt safe in someone arms I guess. Then before I could stop myself the words "You can sleep in my room with me if that helps" came out of my mouth. "Are you sure" he asked me. "Yea but we have to have separate beds" I said. "Thank you so much" he hugged me. "Can you please sleep next to me just for tonight" he asked me shyly. I mean I couldn't say no. He might have a nightmare again. I nodded answering his question. It won't be that bad its only about 4am anyways it'll only be about 5 or 4 hours.

I was getting pretty tired since it was late anyways. I got next to him on the bed. It was pretty big so we kinda shared half the bed.

My eyes were getting heavy and they started to close. One of the last things I remember before falling asleep was Vinnie wrapping his arms around me and him nuzzling his head into my neck.

I shifted closer to him getting more comfortable and I fell asleep with a faint smile on my face.

That was the last thing I remember before I fell fast asleep in his arms and touch. "I missed this" I whispered to myself. Then I heard light snores coming from vinnie.

This ones kinda short sorry. I keep saying im gonna make them longer but homework is really piling up on me sorry. I'll do better next time.
