Dewin had no idea where the bird was taking him. The creature was flying so incredibly fast, the rushing air feeling like a torrent of water, that his eyes hurt every time he opened them. 

Then as if they had hit a stone wall, the bird landed.

Dewin peeked and saw a towering castle carved into a monstrous cavern. He then jumped down onto the solid ground.

'Thank you for the ride,' Dewin said to the creature, and it took off, leaving him to continue on with his journey.  

After watching the bird disappear into the darkness of the cavern, he turned back to his next challenge. 'Rock Castle,' he said. 'Let's hope you are not as deadly as my books say.'
