3rd persons POV-

The tension in the kitchen was thick to say the least.Tessa stood behind the counter whilst her ex boyfriend and father of her 2 children stood near the bar stools.

They both wanted to say something but neither of them knew how to start it.

Eventually Hardin spoke up.causing teases grey/blue eyes to focus on him.The same eyes that drawn her to him at the party at the frat house all them years ago.The eyes he could fall in love with over and over again.

Tessa knew that this would be an intense conversation .

"So how have you been doing"He asks,She looks at him with a look of confusion.

Wouldn't he be mad at the fact she took his kids and his is just casually asking how she has been?!That is weird to say the least for her.

"Look you did not come here to ask about how I have been doing,you stopped caring about me so instead of just making polite chit chat just get to the damm point!"She yells.

He is in utter shock how can she say that he does not care about her.He searched for her for over a decade.She was the first love of his life and she would always be.Ever since the night she disappeared he has never touched another girl again.He refused to he only ever wanted one girl and that one girl would be Theresa Young!

"How can you say I don't care about you?"He asks a little bit bewildered.

"Because of what I did!"he still did not seem fazed he seemed....

Hurt?

"You are the mother of my children Tess,Without you they would not have anyone!"She felt butterflies in her stomach the moment he said her nickname.A name that people have rarely called her.

Damon maybe but anyone else?

No.

"I just want to understand why you did it Tessa.Why would you take Emery away from me!I get I said some pretty hurtful and shitty things but I Don't know how to tell you how sorry I am.I never went to the bar that night.I saw molly there and I changed my mind but when I got back you were gone.The house we brought together filled with your things we're gone and I had lost you!You had no idea what I found out that day and you never got the chance to listen to me!"

He was out of breath by the end of that and Tessa could not help but think of what he meant of 'what he found out that day'

What could have been so bad?

"What did you find out?"She asked,scared for the answer to her question.

He took a deep breath.

"I found out I had leukaemia"He says truthfully.
