Emery's POV-

"Look dad can we just go home,I need to get ready for the party"I turn to face my step dad Damon.

"Yeah sure sweetie"He wraps an arm around my shoulders and I just keep my head down.

Walking back to the car I look back at the man with brown wavy hair and his tattooed covered body.

He has tears in his green eyes.The green eyes that are so similar to mine.Auden has my moms eyes and we always get asked if we're really siblings.

I sit in the passenger seat of the car Damon drives and put my seatbelt on so I don't die.

The car ride is silent and the atmosphere seems cold and.....dark.

After thinking I have had enough of the silence,I decide to speak up.

"Is he really my dad?"I ask Damon.

He sigh before stopping the car outside our house.I did not even realise we were home.

He nods and I can feel my world come crashing down.The walls I have built up over the years are doing me no justice.

Without realising the tears are streaming down my face.

I step out the car,slamming the door shut behind me before running up the porch and pounding on the front door.

Moments later my brother Auden answers with a concerned look laced over his face.He knows something is wrong as I hardly ever cry and when I do it must be something major.

I run past him up to my bedroom and slam the door shut behind me ,probably detaching it from its hinges.

Tessa's POV-

"Why is Emery crying?"I ask Damon,concern written in my voice.

Emery is a tough nut to crack so when she does cry ,everyone knows to leave her be and leave her to cool down.

"We saw someone at the mall"Damon says and I tilt my head to e side,clearly confused.

Who did they see at the mall that made Emery so upset?

"Who was it ?"I ask,daringly.

"Your not gonna believe it"He says.

He takes a break and a sigh before continuing.

"It was Hardin"

No....

Hardin is here in New York!

No I was finally getting my life back on track and now it is all going to hit me in the face again.

I thought I was never going to see him again.

Yes I think about him from time to time but nothing major.

"He found us,after all these years he has found us!He is going to find out about Auden and that will be it!"I can't hold back the tears any longer and just let them consume my eye sight.

The salty tears drenching my face as I try to control my breathing.

Emery's POV-

I have been sitting in my bedroom for about 3 hours.

None of my real family have come up to see me.

I understand Auden might be a little confused but I at least thought my mom would come and see how I was.

Addison has been up as we share a bedroom together.her side of the room is a light Greg aesthetic where as mine is all dark colours like blacks and greys with a hint of red.

I decide it is time to get ready for the beach party tonight ,that should hopefully lift my mood.

I walk over to my wardrobe digging out all my clothes until I find something that matches .

I pick out my dark grey denim shorts and a black crop top and my Fils black sneakers.

Already I feel like my self.

I curl my hair and apply some eyeliner and red rouge lip gloss to complete my attire for tonight's north shore beach party.

Me and Addison wait by the door of our house and hear the beep of a car horn.I slip on my leather jacket and walk outside not even caring to say a good bye to my mom.

Tyler is sitting in his car waiting for us.He is our guy best friend.Tyler has been there for me ty rough everything.Exactly like Addy.I must admit I have California feelings over the years but I don't want anything to come between our friendship.

Within five minutes we are pulling into the sandy parking lot of the beach.There are party goers everywhere.The beach is legit packed.

I forget about my friends and walk straight over to the drinks section,I order a vodka and drink it beat.If I wasn't feeling better already this has definitely lifted my spirits.
