Inhuman (Levi x Reader)

I dont understand

"Cadet?"

The word made your soul jump out. Your fingers froze and so did the rest of your body. You heard the bed creaking as he slowly got up. You gulped and slowly turned around and do a salute. He looked tired and puzzled.

"What are you doing here?"

He asked the question you hoped he wouldn't. You quickly searched for an excuse in your brain.

"I....uh... um... hehe you see... I... just.. uh--"

"Is that my journal your holding?"

You looked at your hand and remembered about it.

"O-oh! It;s your's? I never knew--"

"But it has my name on it. Tell me why, cadet [Last Name] "

This time, he sounded impatient. You were doubting wether to tell the truth, or lie or just run away. You started sweating and the atmosphere became tighter. You had to find an answer asap. 

"I dont have all night , cadet"
He became angrier and it frightened you to hurry with your decision.  His foot started tapping on the floor. You're head was going to explode so you had no choice.

"IfounditintheoldofficeandIbecamecurioussoIkeptitthenIleftitattheroomandthenyoupickeditupsoIhadtosneakintoyourroomtogetit"

You said your answer in a hurry due to fear.There was a moment of silence until the corporal sighed.

"You should have told me so"

You were very surprised by the corporal's reaction. He didn't seem angry.

Wow this is too good to be true 

You opened the notebook... only to not understand the text. The letters were familiar. Maybe it was the handwriting.. or something else.

"Um... I dont understand.."

"Then come back when you think you can"

And with that, he took it away and placed it in a locked drawer. 

        The next morning, you woke up rushing to the early morning training. While you and your teammates trained you noticed that the Corporal was writing something in his journal. You were often distracted by him, because of this, Sasha was able to knock you off.

"Woohoo! You're going to give me your potatoes tonight!"
The brunette said while jumping up and down.

"Don't I always?"
You said as she helped you get up. Once you were up you turned your head to Levi.

"Anyways, it seems like you're getting distracted."
Sasha said with a teasing tone.

"No I'm not"
You said, still looking at the man, oblivious that you were focusing on Levi and how he writes in the notebook. You came back to reality once you felt Sasha's elbow on your side.

"Ow! What was that for?!"

She leaned onto your ear and whispered.
"You like Corporal, don't you~?'

You leaned back with a pink-ish face. "What?! N-no I'm not!!"
She just laughed at your cute reaction.
"I know why you like him... it's because french men are hot!"

You became puzzled at her strange statement.
"What the hell?"

"Wait? So that's not the reason?"

"Wait why are french men suddenly involved?"

" 'Cause he's french, duh!"

"He's... french?"
Your eyes widened. THAT explains it! I totally forgot that he was french!Maybe he wrote in french in his journal! No wonder  I couldn't understand a thing!

After eating your lunch you rushed to Armin's room and knocked on the door. He opened it after a few seconds.

"Oh hey (Y/N) "

"Hey, um.. can I ask something?"

"Sure"

"I.. was wondering if you had any... books about learning another language... particularly French"

"Hmm.."
He thought for a while.
"Wait lemme see."
He said as he rushed to his mini library and quickly searched for a book.
"Oh! Here's one!"
He handed it over to you.

"Thanks!" You said, rushing to your room where you opened the book.

Just watch out Levi! I'm going to learn your weakness someday!
