- Hello (casual)Mho-ro / mho-ro-i
Mhoro = used between friends or from an older person to a younger one. Never to an older person it's disrespectful.
Mhoroi = respectful and can be said to an older perosm though it must be followed with "makadii?" which you'll learn in a second.
Makadii? / Makadi ni?
- How are you? (Standard/formal)
- Hello (equivalent)

Ma = maria
Ka = cartoon
Di = dira (NOT dh = d for dog)
i = inkNi = like knee
_____________________________With Shona "M" is plural in some contexts, so it's used to address older people. You will learn more in the prefixes lesson. For now remember, to your friend or someone your age you can say the following:
