"I can't tell if it's a romance or a horror film," George added from behind Fred, somehow in the exact same position as his twin.

The full moon glowed through your dorm window, awakening you from your heavy yet restless nap. It was about 8:30pm, which was when you and Draco wanted to leave for your late-night Hogsmeade date. You began to get ready quietly, doing your best not to wake anyone else in your dorm. A few of them moved around which made your heart race like crazy but, luckily, none of them opened their eyes enough to see you.

As soon as you were dressed in the outfit you had shown Draco that morning, you looked in the mirror to fix yourself up a little more. You sighed, knowing that there wasn't much of a chance that Draco would show up tonight, but you couldn't sleep with that small hope that he will. You combed your hair into a ponytail, which you did often because you hated having all the hair in your face. Of course, you have to leave out a strand or two so you don't look bald, especially in the eerie darkness of the moonlight. All you had to do now was grab your wand and somehow make it out without Filch, or anyone for that matter, noticing you. Thankfully, Harry had left you his invisibility cloak after Hermione convinced him that it was urgent and classified.

Harry doesn't yet know that you and Draco are together. You wanted it that way so there wouldn't be any more reasons for Draco and Harry to fight. Hermione knows, and she's done well of keeping it a secret. Hermione's actually one of the best secret-keepers at Hogwarts, contrary to what a shocking amount of Hogwarts students believe. Come one, though. She's best friends with the chosen one who claims he's seen Voldemort. Nobody believes him, but, considering the fact that Voldy is coming for your neck too, and through your own boyfriend, you believe it. Do people really think that Cedric just dropped dead because he felt like it? And why else would Draco attack you the way he did. Voldemort being back was the only answer.

You could hear Mrs. Norris meowing as her and Professor Filch were about to turn the corner. Immediately, you pushed your thoughts aside and threw on the invisibility cloak, slowly making your way past them in the corridor. You held your breath for a solid minute until you were sure it was safe to breathe again. You looked behind you again, just to make sure they were gone, and when you turned back around, you found yourself less than a foot away from bumping in Professor Snape. He was talking to Professor McGonagall with that intense stare he always has. As a matter of fact, they both seemed pretty tense. You tried to hear what they were saying, but they were whispering very softly and Professor Snape is always mumbling anyways.

"I did what I had to do," you heard Professor Snape say.
"You betrayed a student, Severus."
"She doesn't belong here, Minerva. Her parents are the worst kind of muggles. You know how dangerous that can be."
"So what did you expect would come from this, hm? Send her back home with her terrible muggle parents? Or, since you reported to Voldemort, she might not even go home at all."
Professor Snape gasped at Professor Mcgonagall's use of You-Know-Who's name.
"Oh, don't start with me, Severus. You might as well say his name. You do work for him after all."
Snape drew his wand. "That's enough! I do not work for him. You know that. I did what had to be done."
Professor Mcgonagall looked down at Professor Snape's wand then sternly back to his eyes. "We NEVER sacrifice our students, Professor. Especially not to the Dark Lord. Surely, you know that."
Professor Snape put his wand back in his robe, surprisingly in a very satisfying way. "Of course, Minerva, but I am sure you understand where I am coming from. You know I am fond of Miss (y/l/n) and would never do such things if I didn't think it was necessary. She's dating my godson, after all."

Your jaw hit the ground. You knew who they were talking about in the back of your mind, but you really hoped it wasn't true. Professor Snape is the cause of all this? Why would he do this? And on Draco's birthday, too? You just brushed it off and let them walk off before you even took a breath. Something that people don't really know until they meet Professor Snape is that his senses are extraordinarily and, occasionally annoyingly, advanced. Seriously, he could recognize you from across the corridor and know what you're doing behind him without having to turn around. He also has great hearing so if you were to even breathe, he might just know you're there.
