I'm so sorry I forgot to publish yesterday! I've been studying for my Legal Studies exam and this totally slipped my mind. So here's the chapter, a little late. Sorry lovelies...

Mingi, a wanted criminal, was enrolling in their school that day.

Wooyoung only found out about this when Mingi turned up in his biology class.

"Mingi what on Earth are you doing here?" Wooyoung whispered, dragging Mingi into the seat beside him. The vampire just rolled his eyes, getting his school supplies out of his bag.

"I know nothing about how times have changed. So I thought to go to school and see what it's like. Also I get to see my fiancé, which is always a bonus." Mingi winked at Wooyoung, writing in his book.

"This is insane Mingi! You could get arrested again, or worse killed!" Wooyoung was stunned by Mingi's recklessness. The prison escapist was now living in the Choi manor, and if his location was known everyone was too scared of San's family to check.

"I'll be fine, now pay attention." Mingi had already written everything on the board, as well as a detailed paragraph on Darwinism in relation to the topic.

By break time Wooyoung's worries had started to subside.

Mingi blended in very well. And most didn't know just how confused he was with every encounter. Phones are what seemed to confuse Mingi the most. And Wi-Fi.

"Yunho!" Mingi skipped through the cafeteria, launching at his fiancé. Yunho was barely even able to catch Mingi, yet was clearly thrilled to see him.

"Mingi! Are you going to school with us now?" Yunho sat down with Mingi nuzzled close to his side. Almost the whole cafeteria was staring at them, considering it was rare for humans and vampires to be so obviously in a relationship. But if there was one thing Yunho had never cared about, it's the opinions of others.

"Yep, let me see your timetable." Mingi's speech patterns had been adapted to a more modern version very quickly. He didn't quite have all the slang words figured out, but he was doing well. "We only have self defence class together."

"Aww, I wanted to spend more time with you." Yunho grumbled, getting ready to go get his lunch. "What'd you want Woo?"

"Just a burger or something." Wooyoung shrugged, grabbing a container of cupcakes from his bag. San kept glancing over at the space between their hands, face a light shade of pink. Wooyoung slipped his hand into San's, rolling his eyes lightly. "You don't have to hesitate to hold my hand Sannie."

"O-ok." San still didn't look at Wooyoung. He was so damn adorable when he got embarrassed.

"Hey, I have a question." Wooyoung turned to San. "What's the difference between noble vampires and other vampires?"

"Just who turned them. Noble vampires are those turned directly from an Elder vampire. All others are turned from noble vampires onwards. Vampire royals consist of either nobles or vampires who were royalty when they were alive." San was finally looking up at Wooyoung rather than the table.

"So who turned your family?"

"Funny story actually. It was Yeosang's dad." San laughed, glancing to Yeosang. The vampire just rolled his eyes lightly.

"Yeah, yeah I get it. My Dad's an idiot." Yeosang went back to sipping the straw of his drinking tumbler. It was metal, so people couldn't see what was inside, but knowing Yeosang it was either blood or alcohol.

"Why'd he turn you guys?"

"Because he likes my older brother. Minho was in town one day when Taemin saw him. And since then Taemin kept flirting with Minho and trying to be his friend. But my brother isn't really falling for him as Taemin would want. So he offers to turn Minho into a vampire. My brother says yes, as long as Taemin also turns the rest of my family. Since then, Taemin still hasn't given up on my brother and I can't even count the amount of times he'll just show up and annoy him." San had a bright smile on his face as he talked. At that moment they heard Minho yell rather loudly.

"God Taemin I'm working!"  Minho then stomped past them, a powerful looking vampire skipping along behind him. He had grey hair and a rather cute face.

"Hey Dad!" Yeosang waved at him, Wooyoung assuming he was Taemin. The vampire then turned to stare at Yeosang, immediately abandoning everything and sitting with them.

"Hey kiddo! What's been going on?" Taemin ruffled Yeosang's hair, glancing around the table. "Hello San, haven't seen you in a while."

"You were at his house last night annoying Minho. And it's been pretty peaceful." Yeosang's whole demeanour changed when Taemin was there. Like he was trying to make Taemin proud somehow. It was really sweet actually.

"Mingi? When did you get out?" Teamin looked over at Mingi, who'd come back with Yunho. A burger was placed before Wooyoung, as well as a pink milk. What followed was Wooyoung trying to open his burger wrapping with the one hand so he didn't have to let go of San.

"Few days ago." Mingi sat rather happily beside Yunho. The speed at which the pair had grown close was honestly astounding. But now that he'd come to terms with it... he was really happy for Yunho. San, having looked at his struggle, laughed and let Wooyoung's hand go. Yet as soon as the burger wrapping was off Wooyoung's hand found San's again immediately.

"That's good. When were you supposed to get out again?" Taemin clearly knew about Mingi's breakout.

"About a year from now."

"Oh that's fine then. From now on you're under my protection." Taemin waved a hand, a simple black bracelet appearing on Mingi's wrist. It practically oozed with magic. "Anywho I gotta find that gorgeous vampire with the nice ass, so I'll see you all later." And with that Taemin vanished.

"Jesus my Dad's a weirdo." Yeosang sighed, taking another sip of his drink.

"Yeah... and it's always sorta weird how he talks about my brother..." San grabbed a wine glass filled with blood, taking a small sip. He'd also been eating the cupcakes Wooyoung had bought to school.

"How'd he and your mum meet?" Wooyoung leaned forward. He'd never actually heard of vampires having kids before, let alone an Elder.

"Mum was a prostitute, Dad was... yeah. She got pregnant, didn't really want me. So when I was born Dad took me in. I was only half vamp, and I have his mind reading abilities obviously. Though somehow mine ended up more refined than his, so I can sorta control who I'm listening in on. I aged, just very slowly for a human. Then when I looked about 18 Dad offered to turn me into a full vampire. And now I'm here." Yeosang had grabbed one of the cupcakes too. From that point the conversation was rather lighthearted, full of laughter and joy.

"So how old are all of you?" Wooyoung asked thoughtlessly, only then realising he'd never actually known.

"Did you know it's very improper to ask a vampire their age?" Yeosang gave Wooyoung a raised eyebrow and a small smirk. "Just keep that in mind for future reference. And I'm... around 500 years old."

"Yeah, and I'm about 100 years older than Yeo." San shrugged.

"And San turned me about 300 years ago... right?" Mingi looked over to San, who nodded. "I was homeless and poor, then I became friends with San. He offered me a good life, but at the price of, you know, my life. Long story short I said yes and now I'm here." Mingi grinned. It was interesting, how they'd all come from rather different places in life yet still ended up together.

It was while San and Wooyoung walked to maths that San stopped Wooyoung. The hall was empty at that point.

"Look I know that it's been... hectic since your return. But would you maybe, just maybe, go on a date with me? I understand if you say no and all." San was staring at their entwined hands, his cheeks more red than Wooyoung had ever seen them. And Wooyoung thought back to when they really first met all those years ago. When San had saved him, then fled in embarrassment. He was still the same San...

Still his San.

"Of course you dummy! Why would I ever say no?" Wooyoung kissed San on the cheek, tugging San to class afterwards.
