Normal people don't give second chances.
One and done has always been it for people.
On a rare chance, people gave out seconds, and sometimes they worked out.
In other cases, they didn't. But even with a second chance people never gave out more.
Well, I'm not one of those people. No matter how hard I try to hate someone or feel negative emotions, it backfires on me.
At least I thought it did.
It wasn't until Mark Thomas entered my life that I felt those negative emotions. At the beginning of our friendship, it was all sunshine and rainbows. He was my best friend and I was his.
Our fathers owned a company together, Uhrin and Thomas Corporation. They'd been college roommates and both business majors. Once they graduated it was set in mind that they would grow a business together.
It was successful.
They came back to Morhills after snagging a building. Growing their business from a small college bedroom to an empire. And before they knew it, it all crumbled down.
Alfredo Thomas betrayed my dad, kicking him out of the business they both co-owned and framed him. He sent him to jail knowing my dad was innocent, knowing what it'd do to my family.
It was then Mark and I no longer were best friends.
