"Where are you going, Y/N?"

You turn towards your best friend's direction, the curiosity in her voice stopped you from taking another step out of your classroom.

"I'm gonna watch my boyfriend practice," you replied with a knowing smirk on your lips, trying to annoy your best friend who's single.

The slight frown on her face told you that you succeeded which made you chuckle silently.

"Heh, I love being single you know." She pouted, "Go now, tell Suga I said hi!"

"Sure! Take care!" You smiled before trudging along the empty corridors of your school.

You heard from Suga about the volleyball team making it to nationals, which made you proud. You knew how important this is for him specially now that you're both on your last year in high school. That's why you wanted to be there and support him and the team, and you thought that you could do so through watching and encouraging them in their practices.

You hope that your small action can somehow help the team, even for a bit. It's the only thing you know you could do since you don't really know anything about sports.

Last night, you also prepared sandwiches and thought that you would give them to everyone after their practice. Surely they would be hungry after a tiring day.

'I wish I could help some more. For now, this is the only thing I can do.'

With that thought in mind you proceeded to walk towards the lively gym. Even though you haven't arrived you can already hear the sound of balls hitting against flesh and the floor, as well as the squeaking of shoes.

You were about to open the door when someone beat you to it.

"Oh! Hello, Y/N-senpai!" Yachi, one of the team's manager greeted you.

"Hello! Hitoka-chan," you replied, your eyes landed on her arms.

She was holding a bunch of water bottles so you offered to lend her some help which she refused at first, but you insisted that's why you were now both currently walking towards the drinking fountain to refill the bottles.

"Must be tough work, being a manager..." You started a conversation sensing how she became a bit stiff and quiet.

Maybe she's shy, you're apparently her senpai after all.

"Oh, it takes time getting used to it. But, it's quite fun!" She replied, her eyes shining brightly.

You smiled and continue to fill the bottles until all of them were filled with cold water.

The moment you stepped into the gym, the boys were seated on the floor some were standing while wiping their sweats with a towel.

They're probably on their break, you thought as you entered inside.

"L/N-san!" Hinata was the first one to spot you and you waved at him as he practically jumped towards you.

"Hinata-kun, how are you doing?"

"I'm great! Later, I'm gonna show you something cool! My spikes are getting better!" He beamed while jumping like a kid which made you chuckle.

"Oi! Hinata boke! Stop bothering L/N-senpai," Kageyama suddenly barged in the conversation.

Before you knew it, the two were now arguing about something. You smiled at how adorable they looked even though they practically teasing one another.

"F/N!" Suga called you, "You didn't told me you're coming!"

"I decided not to tell you. I wanted it to be a surprise!" You replied bluntly which made him smile widely with his eyes closed.

Soon enough their break came to an end and they proceeded to practice some more until the sun can no longer be seen on the horizon.

"Goodnight, L/N-san! Suga-san!" Everyone said before going their separate ways.

"Bye! Take care," You called as you waved your hand towards their retreating figures.

After some time you're now left alone with Koshi, he offered to walk you home which you gladly accepted. You felt like it's been so long since you had the chance to be with your boyfriend even though you kept in touch through text messages and such.

As you were walking through the empty and dimly lit streets of Miyagi, you glanced at Suga who's on your side.

You noticed how he always has this smile on his face. He seemed so carefree and bright which made you feel safe and at ease. You felt very lucky to have such a kind and caring boyfriend. You love everything about him, and seeing his kindness and selflessness each passing day made you love him more, if that was even possible.

Watching him now stirred something inside you, you suddenly have this urge to slowly reach out your hand for him to hold. But you were too shy to do so and you have no courage to say it, the reason why you ended up just clenching your fist which rested on your side.

'Gosh, what's wrong with me? We've been in a relationship for almost a year now. Nothing's wrong with holding hands, right?'

Heat immediately crept up to your face. You internally shook your head to dismiss such thoughts.

'I'll just do it next time. For now, I'm happy just walking with him.'

A smile grazed on the side of your lips, just in time for Sugawara to see. He felt his heart beating faster seeing you smile softly. He wondered what made you smile like that and he wants to know what you're thinking.

Before you knew it you felt his warm hands covering yours. His long slender fingers slowly intertwining yours making you blush.

"Is this fine?" He asked you, his voice barely audible.

You turned your head towards him and you saw how his face gradually turn a shade of red making you chuckle.

"Hmm..." You nodded as a reply, your hand gripping his' a little harder hoping he would feel how much you love him. "Next time, let's hold hands more often."

His ears turned red hearing what you just said.

"Woah! What happened to my timid girl?" He asked jokingly.

You giggled at this, shrugging your shoulders you played with your entwined fingers feeling nothing but pure bliss with the feel of his hand against yours.
