Lena couldn't hide the smile on her face and people were noticing. Sam came into her office and said "Honey I'm home.." Lena laughed.
"ohhh someones in a good mood and it's not because you slept well because you never do, what is it?" Lena tried to take the smile off her face. "Nothing what are you talking about?"
"Lena you and I both know you can't keep shit from me now spill."
"Umm, so I met someone..."
"AND?? Don't you fucking dare stop there"
"Well, I met this reporter-"
"Kara Danvers the one that kissed your ass in that article?"
"Yes, that one."
"OMG is she hot? Is she nice?"
"Sam! it's not like that, she was just nice!"
"Sure whatever you say, because every time you someone nice to you you cant keep a dazzling smile off your face, right?"
"Well, okay yes she was pretty but I'm not interested like that."
"mmhmm, I TOTALLY believe you."
Sam started laughing and Lena just rolled her eyes at her. And then Sam stood up to leave and shouted " I wanna be the maid of honor!" and closed the door. "SAM FOR FUCKS SAKE!"
Jess just looked at Sam and smiled already used to her antics.
Lena went back to her work but before she did she asked, Jess, to get Ms. Danvers' phone number. And after 30 mins Jess walked in with the phone number in hand.
Lena debated for an hour if she should text Kara but in the end, she did.
And so she texted 'Hello Miss Danvers thank you for what you wrote in your article it's one of the best articles I've ever read and I'm not just saying that because it's about me but honestly the way you wrote it was amazing. Imagine my reaction-'
