Chapter 1: Are You Pawn or A Piece In This Game

(Adriana's POV)

I walked around the house, nervous that something had happened to her. "Adriana? Is something wrong?"

I sighed in relief and tackled her into a hug, "Katherine! I started to think something had happened to you because you were gone so long. What happened?"

She smirked, "I went to visit Damon and Stefan, I pretended to be Elena and fooled Damon but Stefan knew it was me."

"How'd you fool Damon?"

She laughed, "He kissed me, but it was strange he kissed me thinking I was Elena."

"They'll figure it out or Damon will before Stefan tells him."

"You're right but this little game is just getting started." She said grinning down at me. "You'll help me won't you?"

"I've got nothing better to do." I said grinning back at her.

"Good. I have a plan, since I want Stefan and you want Damon-"

"I don't want Damon!" I yelled.

She gave me a look and laughed, "Alright, well my plan is that you should pretend to be Elena and we kidnap her, we're both already invited in thanks to dear Aunt Jenna. Then you have them purposely find out and they think you are me and then I come in with Elena and she has my blood in her so I can threaten to kill her unless Stefan comes with me and loves me."

"Sounds pretty good but are you sure I should pretend to be Elena? Elena is Stefan's girlfriend and we don't know what he'll do."

"It's fine, he won't do anything." She said looking out the window.

Poor Katherine, she really does love him. I wonder what she's thinking.

"We should do it soon."

I grinned, "Alright let's go out and catch Elena!

"I never thought I would ever hear someone say that." Katherine said smiling. We sprinted out the door following Elena's scent and we ended up at the grill. "Perfect, now we wait until she goes into the bathroom and you'll switch clothes, then go to Stefan like nothing happened."

"Let's do it, she's going now."

"Alright." We disappeared into the bathroom and I stepped out from behind a stall. Elena whipped around.

"Katherine!"

"Hello Elena." I smirked stepping towards her.

"What do you want!"

"Oh nothing, nothing at all." I said and Katherine grabbed her, switching our clothes. "Have fun Elena and try not to toy around with her too much Kat." I said walking out of the bathroom.

"Elena is everything okay?" Stefan asked brushing a piece of hair out of my face.

"Yeah, sorry." I said pushing my face against his hand, then Elena's phone went off.

"Who's that."

I rolled my eyes, "Damon."

"Are you still mad at him?" Stefan asked hugging me.

"He killed Jeremy."

"I know and you have every right to be angry with him. So what does he want?"

"He's just being Damon." I said picking up a pool stick and hit three balls into a hole.

"Wow. Nice one."

"Thanks, your turn." He grinned and knocked five balls. We played pool for a while until I got a text from Jenna saying that I should come home. "I got to go." He wrapped his arms around me.
