Chapter 3: The Masquerade Ball

(Adriana's POV)

"Adriana can you give me a hand with this?" Katherine asked walking into our room with a ton of bags in her arms. 

"What are these for?" I asked helping her. 

"The Masquerade Ball that the Lockwoods are throwing." She said as I pulled a short red dress out of a bag. "I bought a bunch of dresses so pick whatever one you want."

"Thanks-" I stopped and Katherine and I jumped up hissing at someone who was behind the door. 

"It's just me." She said putting her hands up in denfense. 

"Well you shouldn't sneek up on a vampire." Katherine said smiling. 

"Hey Lucy." I grinned at her and went back to picking out my dress for tonight. 

"Hi Adriana." She smiled at me and turned to Katherine. "So what did you need me for?"

"I need you to cast a spell on a girl named Elena Gilbert, I need the spell to make what ever happens to my body happens to hers." 

Lucy nodded, "If I do this will we be even?"

"Yes we'll be even."

I smiled and picked up a thigh length black dress and a golden mask that would look great with her skin tone. "Hey Lucy you should wear this." 

(A Few Hours Later) 

Lucy ended up wearing the dress and maks that I had picked out for her, Katherine decided on a tight black dress that hugged her body and a balck mask with little red jewels on it. I picked a white dress that went off both my shoulders and had long sleeves, that went down to the middle of my thighs and a black lace mask with red sparkles. Katherine and Lucy straightened thier hair but I let mine down in curls. "Let's go crash a party." I said smiling and running up to the Lockwoods house. 

"And get a moonstone." Katherine said following behind me. Mrs. Lockwood invited us in and Katherine had gone to find Stefan and Lucy had disappeared, like usual. I walked around, taking a drink when someone handed it to me and danced with random people. 

"You look bored." Someone said behind me. 

I whipped around, "Damon?"

"Hello little twin, I need you to come with me." He grabbed me hand and dragged me upstairs. 

"What are you doing?" I tried to yank out of his grasp but he whipped out a wooden stake, pushing it into my chest. 

"Shut up and walk." He whispered into my ear and dragged me up the steps. 

(Katherine's POV)

I tapped Lucy's shoulder, "Have you seen Adriana anywhere? I can't find her." 

Lucy looked at me over her shoulder, "I don't know I thought she was with you." 

I sighed, "She's always getting lost and into trouble, keep an eye out for her." 

"I will." Lucy turned and walked away, I walked around for a while until I saw Stefan outside and whipped to his side. 

"Hello Stefan."

"Katherine." His voice was flat. 

"You should dance with me."

"No."

"Oh Elena your dress is beautiful." A girl said behind me, I turned around and smiled. 

"Thanks, oh your necklace is messed up, let me fix it for you." I said walking behind her and snapping her back. "Paralyzed from the waist down." I snapped it again and her body went limp. "And dead."
