Chapter 13

I woke up to the sound of my front door closing. I reached over to pet Cupid but she was gone.

"You are not a quiet person." I heard Rowan say.

"Well I'm carrying three coffees and you didn't help with the door." I heard Matt respond.

I decided I should get up and see what they were doing. I slipped into my bathroom to wash my face before I walked out to the living room.

"Good morning." Matt said holding out a coffee.

"He woke you, didn't he? I'm sorry I told him to be quiet so you could sleep but he apparently doesn't understand that concept." Rowan said.

"Morning and how much coffee have you already had?" I greeted Matt and asked Rowan, I took the coffee and looked at it.

"I wasn't sure what you normally get so hopefully you don't mind our order." Matt said.

"Which is?" I asked.

"White mocha with four pumps of raspberry and a little caramel." He answered.

"Sounds good." I said smirking a bit at their drink.

"What?" Rowan asked as he took a drink of his.

"Nothing, just an amusing drink order." I answered and took drink so he couldn't expect me to answer more.

It was very sweet and tasted like I was eating some sort of chocolate candy thing. Matt sat down on the love seat he had slept on and I went to the other couch.

"Thoughts?" Matt asked.

"It's not bad." I answered, "Not sure how I feel about the raspberry, but maybe a thing I get every now and then."

"See I told you she wouldn't hate it." Matt said to Rowan.

Rowan came and sat down near me with a bag.

"How do you feel about jalapeño bagels?" He asked.

"They're my favorite actually." I answered.

"Good." He said and proceeded to pass out the bagels he had in the bag, "Someone doesn't like to ask what people like before going and getting stuff."

"She doesn't hate any of it." Matt said to defend himself.

Them bickering was making me laugh. I wasn't sure how much of it was just their normal and how much was to try and keep the situation from being awkward. I had two men I just met stay the night at my home with me. What would my mother think, it was almost worth calling her to find out.

"So, I have to go into work for a bit but it's mostly just a meeting and Rowan is off today so I'll leave it to you two to figure out what we want to do later." Matt said.

"You're going to look into things at work?" Rowan asked.

"Yeah that's where I heard the thing I need to check on." He said as he stood up and started to head for the door.

Matt stopped and petted Cupid before waving to us and disappearing out the door.

"Well, were you able to get some real sleep with us out here?" Rowan asked after we heard a vehicle start.

"Yeah I was out pretty quick. So, I think it did help. Although you guys really didn't have to do that." I answered.

"We know we didn't have to." Rowan said, "I'm going to let you have time to do your own thing, I need to shower. I'll head back over in a couple of hours. If you need anything before that either come know or my cell number is on the fridge."
