"How do you think they'll react?" Clover asked Astrid, glancing at them."Not sure," they responded.
The five of them had started on their way back home. Their first stop was to tell Iggy's parents the news of her unfortunate death. Clover and Astrid were behind the others, their hands holding onto each others tightly.
"Hey guys! I think were almost here," Ariston called back to the others, with a nervous look on his face.
He had been pretty serious so far, which was a little surprising to the others, but it made sense. The poor boy was hurt. He and Ignacia had bickered quite often, but they knew they were best friends and that they cared about each other. Ariston never really had many human friends before. He had hung out with only mythical creatures- mostly Feave- his entire life. Now that his first human best friend was dead, he was miserable. He did have the other three, but he really loved Iggy- in a friend way of course.
They walked closer to Ignacia's parent's little cottage, becoming more afraid to tell them the news. There was also Phoebe- who had been off on her own for a bit- who knew how she'd react.
"So... who's gonna tell them?" Mizu asked cautiously.
They had walked right up to the beginning of the wooden steps, pausing to decide who should break the news to the family. They stood there, scared to knock.
"I'll do it," Clover offered, whispering. "I mean, Astrid and I were the ones to find her here, so I'll do it."
She let go of Astrid's hand and walked up to the door, lightly knocking on the wooden surface. She then stepped back when she heard voices and footsteps that were coming closer.
The door creaked open and Iggy's mom emerged from her home, "Oh hello. Clover and Astrid, right? What can I do for you?" the kind women asked, spraking calmly.
"Nothing, Mrs. Aguero. There's just something we have to tell you- about Iggy, " Clover said, looking up at the kind women.
Ignacia was a spitting image of her mother, it almost made Clover cry. She had to look down to hold back her tears from spiling over.
"Oh, alright. Well what is it then? Where is she?" Mrs. Aguero spoke with a confused tone.
"Um," she began, lifting her head up to make eye contact with the woman. "When we... when we found Baldassare- we uh... we fought him- and we did win in the end- but Iggy... she- she um- she's dead, Mrs. Aguero."
There were cracks in her voice as she explained, trying her best not to cry in front of everyone.
"Oh..." the woman replied, taking a long moment of silence for herself, then speaking up again a few moments later, "Well... thank you for telling us. You should get going now."
A shocked expression showed on her face as she shut the door on them, not bothering to be gentle as she did so.
"Clover, are you alright?" Astrid asked, walking closer to the girl.
"Yeah, um... I'm okay," she answered with a small voice, turning around to wipe her tears away.
"Come on," they said quietly, reaching their hand out for her to take.
She grabbed their hand and the two of them walked down the porch stairs, away from the home where the fiery girl once lived.

The group eventually reached the forest where they had first met Ariston and helped out the Feave.
"I guess I stay here for now, huh?" he asked, as they neared the perimeter of the Feave's lively village.
