2007Clover and Astrid walked through the forest, hand in hand. They were headed to their old friend's grave, too see her again and meeting the others along the way.
"Hey, wait up!" they heard someone call from behind them.
They turned to see their friend's Ariston running to join them, his cat, Osiris, following closely behind.
"Hey, lion boy!" Clover greeted, giving him a high five as he met the spot they were.
Ariston had stayed with the forest Feave for the past five years. He went on adventures occasionally, and visited Mizu and Sterling quite often. Clover and Astrid did the same, only slightly less because it was a little far from home for them to go regularly. But, whenever they did, they'd greet the Feave and catch up with the boys.
"Guys!" a voice they recognized as Sterling's shouted.
He ran up to the others with Mizu right behind him, laughing as the shorter boy shoved him in attempt to slow him down and reach the others before Sterling did.
"Hi Mizu! Hi Sterling!" Astrid greeted the two, smiling.
The five of them caught up with quick hugs and shared smiles, then walked deeper into the forest to where Ignacia's grave was located.
When they got to the little clearing- the one that was on the other side of the trees from the Delgado Aguero household- they approached the singular headstone with their friend's name on it.
"It's crazy how it feels like she was just taken yesterday," Sterling commented, standing behind Mizu who knelt to trace over the letters engraved in the stone.
Astrid nodded, "Yeah... I can't believe it was five years ago already," they replied.
Clover nodded in agreement, quickly blooming a few flowers from her palms. She had learned over the past few years how to grow more plants at a time and at a faster speed. She then placed them at Iggy's grave, sighing and stepping back. Mizu, who was still kneeling in front of it, took the old flowers from last time and gave them to Sterling, who took them. Sterling used his powers to gently separate the wrinkled petals and let them sprinkle down into he soil around the stone.
"She'd be turning twenty-one next week..." Ariston stated, a guilty look placing itself on his face.
"Goodness, yeah," Astrid responded, a look of slight disbelief on their face.
It wasn't like the rest of them weren't going to turn twenty-one or twenty this year, but it was kind of crazy to them that time flew by so fast without their friend being by their sides.
"We should go see her mom now," Clover suggested, getting up from where she had sat down in the grass of the clearing.
Whenever the five of them came to visit Iggy's grave they'd go up to the Delgado Aguero home and say hello to the couple that lived there. Some days they'd stay for lunch, but most of the time they'd just pop in to share a quick conversation and then leave to hang out as just the five of them with their pets.
They passed through the trees and got to the small cabin in the woods. Astrid knocked on the door and it was soon opened by a woman who still looked as stunning as she had in the previous years.
"Hello Astrid! Clover, Sterling, Mizu, Ariston," she greeted, nodding to each one of them as she listed their names. "How long has it been since we last spoke?"
Clover smiled politely, "I think it's been a month and a half, or so," she answered.
They came to this forest to see Iggy and her parents every one or two months. They hung out with each other a little more often than that- maybe once or twice a month.
