Wind fluttered, shaking the tall trees and making the fall leaves twirl around like magic. Black clouds dawned, hiding the bright yellow sun behind its depths. A new age was coming. A dark one. One could taste the air, it was so fresh. Too bad that would go away.
And sooner than one thought.

*Matt's P.O.V 2035, Monday 25th, 6:45 A.M*
As I walked into Red Base, holding a notepad, my eyes widened. Oh crap! I was supposed to be in the theater room doing a theater session. I quickly sprinted up the stairs and Woods, Connor, Patrick, Paul, and Sam were standing over Patrick, looking at his phone and talking amongst themselves.
My eyes narrowed in confusion as I walked over to Patrick to see what was going on.
"What's going on? Is everything okay?" I asked Pat.
Pat shook his head, and I could see it in his eyes that he was worried. He turned his phone towards me, the brightness of the screen making it so I had to squint.
What I saw was a news app that had a very shocking title. My eyes darted across the screen as I read more. My eyes went quicker and quicker as I read.
This is what the article read.
"Explosion Occurs in Santa Clarita!"
Yesterday evening, at around 9 P.M, at Berger's Bar and Grill, a large explosion occurred inside. 20 people dead, 46 people injured. Police and ambulance were sent at the scene at around 9:20. P.M
"A little late," described one of the survivors, Hanna Jackks.
Police are describing the bomb as an accident, but could it be something more? Stay tuned to find out!"
Suddenly, there was a whistling as something flew by. It hit the ceiling, and suddenly, everything went to chaos.
A loud BOOM! The ceiling crashed down on everyone, rubble splattered everywhere, coating everything and everyone in dust. A large fire started, the flames a bright orange and red. The flames crackled as it spread, consuming whatever it touched.
It had all happened so fast. Where was everyone? I needed to get them to safety. We needed to get out here.
People around me coughed, barely able to move with the rubble crushing them. I looked around me, squinting my eyes to see through the thick smoke and dust. I slowly got up, careful not to move too quickly. Squinting my eyes so I could barely see, I could see a silhouette on the ground, covered in what used to be the ceiling but now was a pile of metal laying on top of him. I could hear groaning and coughing all around me, but I focused on getting to Woods. I needed to get everyone out one at a time. That's all I'd be able to do right now.
Pushing my way through the rubble, I finally got to Woods. I knelt down next to his head, pushing what was on top of him off. "You okay?"
Woods head bobbed up and down in confirmation. "Matt, my leg," Woods said, groaning. His hands grabbed the ground as he gritted his teeth in pain. His dark brown hair was coated with dust, a white powder that filled the air.
I slowly moved my way over to where the bar was, and when I saw Woods leg, I gasped out loud. This was NOT good. His right leg was wrapped around the bar, and I could see white bone sticking up out of a very gruesome wound. Blood was pouring out of his leg, dripping on the floor.
"Okay, Woods? This is going to hurt, but I need to do this," I said quietly, almost low enough that I didn't think he heard.
He groaned again, but I heard him quietly mumble, "Okay, do it."
I nodded. "I'm going to count to three, and then do it." I paused, not really wanting to touch his leg, but then again, I wasn't going to touch his leg. Just the bar. I got ahold of myself and grabbed the bar with my right, then his leg with my left. I pushed his leg off the bar, and I heard Woods scream. I gently tossed the bar over to where I could see Tanner.
I walked back over to Woods face, and I got to say, he didn't look too good.
Woods face was super pale, covered in dust, and he was bleeding. The right side of his head was covered in blood, as well as his lower lip. His head moved up as he saw Matt coming. He coughed loudly. "W-We n-need to get out of here," Woods said, slowly crawling to where the front door was. I could tell he was in pain though, and stopped him immediately, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Stop. Woods, your leg, it's really bad. Let me make a tourniquet, then you can make your way to the front door, okay?"
It seemed I had done something so great, that he stopped what he was doing and his head drooped to the floor. I could hear a sigh of relief, then a groan.
I needed to get everyone out of here super quickly. Woods was losing a lot of blood. I quickly tore my shirt and wrapped it around Woods' leg. He gasped in pain as I tied it in a knot.
"Go, get out of here!" Matt yelled, coughing quietly. Woods nodded and slowly made his way to the front door. I don't think he'd be able to make it super far, but I nodded to myself, then made my way to the others.
I quickly found the others and got Paul, Patrick, Sam, Tanner, Mike Badal, Micheal Talamentez, Roze, Marvin, Bryan and Joey out of the rubble and we all made our way to the front door.
Woods was still crawling on the floor, but I grabbed his arm and put it around my shoulder. He hopped on one leg, making our way to the door. Well, not that there was a door left. All the studio was was now gone.
I opened the door, and Woods went first. He gasped in surprise. I let everyone else out first and then quickly ran out.
What I saw scared me to death.
Basically everything outside was on fire. Cars were burning, and the rank smell of gasoline filled my nostrils. People were outside, screaming. Some people I saw, their faces were burned. It hurt to look at.
But I had two questions: Who did this? And why?
