No one expected the little cute girl who loved pink to become a councilor. Honestly, I don't blame them. I didn't even think I would be one. I thought, maybe at best, a part of nobility? Since, I was young, a GIRL, and, I was an empath. Literally, worst power ever. Now that I'm on the Council, I think they just keep me on because I'm apparently a good lie detector. They have Emery, (telapath) so they could just peek into their mind. I guess they respect others privacy.
