You walked through the long hallways of the Vermillion household, undoubtedly everyone was asleep by then. You finally stopped at your captain's room.

"Ah that was fun" you heard a woman mumble to herself as the door opened. Lady Alice passed through you as you froze on the spot.

"Good evening, (Y/n)" she said and left. You held your hand that was about to knock and turned around.

'D-did they...?' you asked yourself on your thoughts. That was your answer, the answer whether you can leave or not. You smiled at yourself.

'how stupid I've become' you walked away and prepared your belongings. You're sure that you'll be out of the kingdom for years so you've packed your essential belongings.

Once you were satisfied, you figured that it's best if you moved all your things out so that this room will be put into use by some other person in the future.

"Absolute command: I hope for my uneeded belongings to disappeared" you said as one by one, traces of you living there were gone.

"After years of living here... I'm free" you said while picking up the things you'll be taking on your long journey.

You roamed around the place for one last time and came across Leopold's room. You sighed and opened it, seeing your young master for the last time.

You patted his head gently as you dropped a single tear on his face. He shifted in his sleep and opened one of his eyes.

"(Y/n)... San?" He asked as you smile.

"I'm glad that you're able to sleep soundly" you said as he weakly nodded. You hummed him a little song as he was forcibly drifted into sleep with your small lullaby.

"Do wonders, Leopold. Farewell" you said and kissed his forehead. Leopold was at a brink of his consciousness and he can't help but think that you're saying your final good-byes.

He was scared to lose you but it's as if you've enchanted him to sleep. You commanded yourself with your power to teleport towards the Clover Walls.

You took a final glimpse of the Clover Kingdom you've served in such greatness. But before anything else, you've gave them a small illusion that only the Wizard King knows of.

"Farewell Clover. Farewell Fuegoleon, until we meet again" you said and left. Fuegoleon suddenly felt an awful sense and he wasn't sure of what it was.

He woke up on his office and went to his room to find it looking rummaged through. He furrowed his eyebrows as his thoughts drifted to Alice.

Fuegoleon gave her permission to sleep on his room while he was working in his office. He noticed your absence and remembered that you always check on Leopold at this hour.

He went to his younger sibling's room and you weren't there. He noticed a tear mark on his face so he began to speculate things.

He suddenly had the urge to go to your room and was surprised when he opened it to see nothing. There was no trace if you at all as he got alarmed.

"Where are you?" He asked in panic but keeping his calm demeanor nonetheless. He tried to find you all night to the point that the sun had lifted up.

He closed his eyes and saw a vision of you on top of the walls. He immediately went there and saw a familiar robe.

The Wizard King.

But that's not all.

On the Wizard King's arms was your frail body, covered in blood. The Crimson Lion's Captain was frozen on his spot, shock and grief enveloped him as Julius walked closer to him.

"H-how?" He faltered, it was evident in Fuegoleon's voice.

"She passed away with Hanahaki disease" The Wizard King told the Vermillion as he trembled with dilated pupils.

"Hanahaki disease?" He asked.

"Hai, A person suffers from this if they feel like they're in a onesided love. The person's lungs will be enveloped by growing flowers until they pass away from it" The Wizard King explained.

"Fuegoleon, take this as your lesson. You were afraid to love her back, correct? You didn't want to hurt her but in some cases, you should be a little greedy" Julius said.

"If you end up waiting, the chance will pass by without you realizing it" Julius ended, passing your limp body to him. He clenched his teeth and held you closer to him.

"I'm sorry. I should've told you sooner" he said as the Wizard King left the grieving captain. Soon enough, Leopold found his anyue and saw (Y/n)'s figure.

"I... So she was saying goodbye" Leopold said with his revelation.

"Anyue.." he said as Fuegoleon only held your body firmly.

"What do you want me to do, (Y/n)?"

"What were you teaching me?" He asked as Leopold looked at his brother that held a different expression. For the first time, Leopold saw Fuegoleon with tears in his eyes.

Your loss was something he regrets and something he'll never forget. He can still remember your fake smiles that turned genuine overtime.

How your eyes shone brightly and how powerful your aura is when you were empowered. He made you weak, he made you soft, he made you fall in love.

•••

Days past by like a breeze. People weren't used to you being gone. Now that you've disappeared, they realized how much you contributed to the Crimson Lions.

Leopold hadn't even had the chance to carry out his plan so that you and his anyue can be together. He was mentally scolding himself that he'd let you say your goodbyes.

Fuegoleon was at most lost, he was used to you being there for him. He realized how much he'd been depending on you for the past years. He had pledged himself to fulfill his dream, being the Wizard King for your sake aswell.

On that day, the diamond mark had been embedded on his forehead. He went back to your room to reminisce his final days of grief. He found a letter on your desk, how could he have missed that before?

It said, "Today I forgive myself for wanting what never wanted me. Today I'll let you go." He accidentally crumpled the paper from agitation.

"Meeting you will never be my regret. Tolerating the ways I've hurt you will always be that regret" he said, holding on to determination to avenge you.

He may not return your love but he will surely give this Kingdom the love it deserves. He will change it's ways for justice, where discrimination lies no more.

It's what you would've wanted. He knows that. Someday soon, he'll know.
