13: ARRANGED MARRIAGE
They all went inside Ion's house. Vice had been staying there since the two dated. The atmosphere was awkward, everything was.
"So uhm... I wanna talk to you two for something..." Addison broke the silence. The two giving her confused looks. She sighed, knowing what she's about to say might hurt atleast someone. But Addison is very much aware that she needs to inform the two about this situation as Vice's boyfriend is involved.
"Uhm, Ion and I, had been set up for an arranged marriage. It- it was both of our dad's decision." She said, biting her lips. She was actually too nervous to tell. On the other side, Addison's confession left Vice's mouth hanging. They were agape, he cant even believe nor process what the other said. He was at the verge of crying, but confusion outweighs every single emotions he had been feeling.
"What are you talking about, Add?" Ion asked.
"Trust me, it wasn't my intention, I. It was both of our dad's idea. They need us, to merge their business." Addison further explained.
"H-how about Vice? He-he's my boyfriend afterall. I cant just leave him like this," Ion desperately asked, now he was slowly getting hurt.
"I don't know, I. Asking your dad sure is the best and last option to do. But Im pretty sure... Tito would not like it if he'd find out his son's a gay," Addison stated.
"I-its okay Ion. Go with her." Vice already spoke up, after a very long time of staying in silence.
Now, everything had processed. He cant have Ion, he knows to well and from the very start that he cant. Ion was startled by the other's words. Did he said that for real. Did he let him go this easy? Wouldn't he fight for him?
"Wh-what are you talking about, babe? You're letting me go this easy? You wouldn't fight for me just for a bit? Even just for a bit?" Ion asked, tears escaping his eyes.
"I do wanna fight for you, but how can I when I know I don't have a power to do so?"
"You already are arranged marriage with someone, Ion. Fighting for you cant do anything. Fighting for you wont change anything. Fighting for you cant win you back. Your future is in your dad's hold anyways, not on mine. So whatever fightings I can do for you, wont change the fact that I cant have you." Vice continued.
Their tears were overflowing, cant they have the happy ending, fairytales have?
