"Where is she?" Eunha said as she tapped her foot on the ground, glancing at her watch every 5 seconds. Namjoon sat on the bench behind your mother with his knees bouncing in anticipation.

"She should have arrived 30 minutes ago. What's going on?" Namjoon checked his phone incase the police department have some change of plans but none was seen. "Should I call the department again?"

Eunha nodded at the suggestion. "Yes. I can't wait another second, I want to see her now." Your mother sighed and sat down on the bench next to Namjoon with her head down, wishing that nothing bad happened to you.

Namjoon dialed the police department's number and placed the phone on his ear. Someone answered on the second beep. "Hello? This is (place) Police Department how can I help you?"

"Oh, um, hello. This is Kim Namjoon. The police called me two hours ago saying that you found a friend of mine that went missing, (Y/N) (L/N)?"

"(Y/N) (L/N)?" The police repeated.

"Yeah, according to you guys she should have been here half an hour ago, I was wondering if there is a problem with the transportation or the address that I gave you?" Namjoon tried his best to be professional and polite despite his worry about you.

"She's not there yet? Yes, I am aware of the information that we provided to you. Please hold on as I ask the police that is incharged of sending her home. Please stand by." The line went quiet after that and Namjoon waited patiently, mentally praying that it was just a silly navigation problem.

"Where's Taehyung?" Eunwoo asked Moonbin at the service table.

"He's having lunch with Woozi at the break room." Moonbin replied before going back to his work on the computer.

"Alright, thanks man."

"Sure." Eunwoo walked to the break room with the phone still on his grasp.

Eunwoo pushed the door open and indeed, Taehyung was there having coffee with smol and annoyed Woozi.

"Have you drink enough milk man? Drink some it'll do great for your bones and growth. Ain't no one getting intimidated with that little body of yours. Your dedication is great but just need a tiny little improvement on your size, you're too cute to do risky work-"

"Taehyung-ah." Eunwoo interrupted. He smiled at Woozi. "Mianhe, may I borrow him for awhile?"

Woozi shrugged with his emotionless face, "He's all yours." Woozi stood up and threw the empty coffee cup into the bin and left the room.

Taehyung watched as Woozi left. "He's so adorable, though. Looks like a kid in a halloween costume."

"Where did you drop off the missing girl?" Eunwoo asked. Taehyung looked up at Eunwoo, confused.

"What do you mean?"

"You were incharged of sending her back home, right?" Eunwoo was also very confused.

"I was? But the new guy said that Chief told him to do it. And he seemed serious about it so I let the guy do his thing. What's wrong? She's not home?" Taehyung stood up as the situation was getting serious.

"What new guy?"

Taehyung felt his heart dropped to his stomach when Eunwoo said those three words. "...Rick?"

Eunwoo felt his heartbeat increases in speed. "Taehyung, the last newbie we had was six months ago..."

Taehyung's eyes couldn't get any wider than it was at that time. "Oh, shit." His face paled as if there was no blood at all present in his body.

How can I be so stupid?

I could've insisted more and asked more.

What kind of cop are you, Tae?!

You just let an innocent girl get kidnapped right in front of your eyes, and you wouldn't even realise if Eunwoo never told you.

Taehyung was feeling a different level of guilt and fear. "I-I..." Taehyung tried to say something to make things better, like he always do when the atmosphere was unpleasent in the department, but his mouth couldn't come out with anything. His throat was dry.

He could have easily saved you but he was so careless.

He didn't deserve the title 'policeman'.

The whole department promised your family that they would see you again after so long.

They were already waiting for your arrival.

But Taehyung messed it all up big time.

Eunwoo sighed and massaged his head, calming himself down. He showed the phone to Taehyung and said, "Her family is on the line, asking what's going on. I don't want to be the one telling them. I have nothing to do with this one. Take the phone, Tae."

Taehyung gulped as his shaky hands slowly reach for the phone in Eunwoo's grasp. Taehyung put the phone against his ear. Taehyung glanced at Eunwoo again who also shared the same troubled expression.

"H-Hello?" Taehyung spoke into the phone.

"Yes? Hello?" A female voice was heard, it was your mother.

"I-"

"Where is my daughter?"

Hello, heheh well this is awkward. How long has it been? 6 months? 😬
