"Hey, Julie

"Hey, Julie." Luke poofed into existence besides her as she was sitting at the kitchen table eating pancakes.

"Luke," She smiled, raising her eyebrows knowing that he wanted something, "what is it this time?"

"Well... you know how you let me and the guys stay in the garage? Do you think maybe..."

"If you're going to ask if Elara can stay of course she can, the more the merrier! Hopefully one day I'll be able to see her." Julie grinned.

Luke jumped up, "thank you, Julie! See you when you get home from school!" He waved before disappearing back to the garage.

Elara was already awake, looking at one of Luke's guitars.

"Morning, El." He said softly, she turned around slowly, looking distracted, "you okay?"

Her lips formed a small smile, "I'm fine, Luke."

"Julie said you can stay." Luke said, hoping to cheer her up.

"I'm so looking forward to spending more time with you... and the boys and Julie." Elara quickly corrected herself, she seemed to brighten up slightly too.

Luke felt butterflies as he looked at her, she seemed so delicate and fragile he just wanted to hug her. He stopped himself and changed the subject, "so, you like my guitar? Can you play?"

He immediately knew it was the wrong thing to say, her eyes watered slightly, "it reminded me of the guitar my parents got me the night of my 17th birthday... coincidentally the night I died. I never got to learn to play it."

"Oh, Elara... I'm so sorry. I had no idea-"

"There's no need to feel sorry for me, Luke." She said softly.

He nodded, "if you'd like... I can teach you how to play one of my guitars."

"I'd like that a lot, but can I even pick up a guitar? I can't even open a door without having to try a hundred times." Elara sighed.

Luke grinned, excited to show her just what ghosts could do, he summoned one of his other guitars which appeared in his arms within moments and began to strum it slowly.

Elara watched in awe at how he could play so effortlessly. Luke played whilst holding eye contact with her, and he started humming a song he was working on.

When he stopped he was glad to see that the girl in front of him was smiling wider than he'd ever seen, "that was just a lil something I'm working on... I haven't finished the lyrics yet."

"What's it called?" She asked as they both sat down on the couch, Luke still holding his guitar.

"Moonlight Serenade... although it's a working title." He shrugged, suddenly looking shy.

"I love it already, are you going to sing it with the band?"

Luke wasn't going to tell her he'd started working on it the day they met, and that it was inspired by her, "I'll see what the boys and Julie think, I'm sure they won't want to sing a soppy love song." He laughed.

He removed the guitar from around his neck and held it out for Elara, "try not to think too hard, just hold it."

Elara held out her hands, they immediately went through the guitar, she tried again and luckily on the third try she managed to hold it.

"There you go!" Luke grinned, he reached out and placed his hands over hers, moving them to the correct positions on the guitar.

The pair spent the whole day playing the guitar, and by the end of the day Luke had managed to teach Elara the chords of one of his favourite Sunset Curve songs, In Your Starlight. They'd never played it live, but when the boys were alive they'd practice it all the time as their closing song for their sets.

Elara was playing the chords when Alex and Reggie walked in, without a word Alex got behind the drums and Reggie summoned his electric guitar and soon the whole garage was filled with music. Luke grabbed the mic and began to sing and play along with them.

Julie and Flynn walked in on the jam session, Flynn began to dance around and grabbed Julie's hands to make her dance with her. Julie couldn't stop thinking about how good the song was, she just wished she could see Elara since she was playing with the boys too — then she realised this was how Flynn felt all the time when the boys weren't playing.

When they finally stopped playing, Luke turned to Elara, "you were amazing, you're a natural." He said, gesturing to the guitar.

She blushed slightly, as the boys were all congratulating her.

"You never told me what kind of guitar your parents got you..." Luke said.

"It was a light blue fender... it was so beautiful, I think it was a limited edition, so it's probably not available anymore." She sighed, remembering the feeling she felt when she first saw it.

"Mm-hm." He nodded, knowing he was going to find that guitar one way or another.
