Louis' POV
I wake up to my alarm and realize that it's the first day of year 9, which means it's Harry's first day of year 7. I can't even lie to myself, I'm excited to go back, although I will miss seeing my little Curly all day. I decided to finally begin to get ready. I take a while to choose an outfit but finally decide on a white and gray striped jumper, blue skinnies, and a pair of gray TOMS. I check the time and realize that I've only got 10 minutes to finish getting ready and get across the street if I want to eat breakfast with Harry. I dart to the bathroom, quickly style my hair into a fringe, and brush my teeth. Then I rush to grab my bag and make my way to Harry's.
I walk into the house, they always leave it unlocked for me in the mornings since it has been part of our ritual since Harry started school. I walk into the kitchen and see Harry eating at the kitchen island. He must not have noticed me come in, so I decide to take advantage of his cluelessness. I quietly walk up behind him and whisper, "Good morning Hazza." He is startled at first then realizes it's me and quickly pulls me into a hug. I always get these stupid little butterflies when he hugs me, I can't figure out why.
"I didn't hear you come in Lou," he pouts.
"Well, you gotta pay more attention Haz," I say while poking his ticklish sides.
He giggles, it's music to my ears. He offers me a bite of his pancake, which I graciously accept. After we finish eating he grabs his bag, we wait for Gemma, and then head off to the bus stop.
"Are you excited about school Haz?" I ask.
"Not really. I'm gonna miss you Boo," he replies.
"Awww Hazza is gonna miss his boyfriend," Gemma teases.
"He's not my boyfriend," Harry mumbles while a light blush coats his cheeks.
"She was only teasing Hazzy," I say pulling him into my arms while staring daggers at her.
"Yeah Harry, I was only teasing. I didn't mean to upset you," Gemma said sounding not so sincere.
"S'fine. I'm not upset," he denies.
I look down at him and stick out my bottom lip in a pout to make him smile. It works, he can never resist my pout. I motion for him to come closer and cup my hand around his ear.
"I think Gemma is just jealous of you being my best friend because she likes me," I say jokingly.
Harry looks at Gemma, his eyes flash with what I think is jealousy. I get it, I would be jealous and upset if Harry was dating Lottie, but I don't have to worry about that since she is only 6. I take his hand and squeezed it reassuring him that it won't happen. He turns red. I blush at his reaction.
The bus arrives and I find a seat by Niall, Zayn, and Liam. Harry sits with me, of course.
"How was summer break mate," Zayn questions.
"S'alright, Liam and I spent a lot of it at camp," Niall responds and Liam nods.
"What about you Lou?" Liam questions
"It was good. I spent it all with Curly here," I say while ruffling his hair.
"Heeeeey," he said drawing the word out.
"You love me," I say as the bus stops at the school.
"Yeah and you're lucky," he mumbles.
I made the split-second decision to embarrass him a bit before going to our respective classes.
"Bye Hazzy!" I say loudly before kissing his cheek with an exaggerated sound for effect.
"Loooou," he whined before blushing and wiping his cheek off.
