Chapter 2
Louis' POV
The past few months have really flown by. It's already October. Nothing much has changed from the summer, other than going to school most days of the week. Harry still comes over every day after school, but that has always been the routine. Although, even though we aren't spending more time than usual together, Harry's on my mind more than ever before. In fact, I can't seem to ever get him off of my mind. I think I'll talk to mum about it, I'll just leave out who it is.
The final bell pulls me out of thought. I grab my bag and quickly try to make it to the bus before Harry so that I can save our seat. I walk out the doors and of course, it's raining. It's always raining in London. Oh well.
I make my way to the bus and find a seat. Finally, I see Harry walking out of the doors and to the bus. When he gets on I smile goofily at him.
"Hi Hazza," I saw with a grin once he sat down with me.
"Hi Boobear," he says mockingly.
He knows I hate that nickname.
"You're coming to mine right?" I question.
"Actually Boo I've got a dentist appointment, so I can't tonight. Sorry though," he says guiltily.
I give him a reassuring smile to let him know I'm not mad.
"It's okay Hazzy, wouldn't want your teeth to rot now would we?" I joke.
He giggles. Music to my ears.
"Guess not," he replies, still giggling.
The rest of the ride home was uneventful. The usual, talking with the lads and Harry. When we finally get to our stop I start to walk to my house when I feel arms wrap around my waist from behind.
"Sorry again Boo, I wish I didn't have to go," Harry says apologetically.
"Now Harold, we have all the time in the world to hang out. I'd prefer it if you keep your teeth. So go on, Anne is probably waiting for you," I jokingly lecture.
"Love you, Lou," he says.
"Love you too Hazzy," I say spinning around to return the hug.
With that, I continue walking home. I smile when I see that mum is home. I walk through the door and go to my room to kick my shoes off and put my bag down. I walk back out to the living room and look for my mum.
"Mum I'm home!" I shout.
"In the kitchen!" she replies.
I walk to the kitchen.
"Can I talk to you about something mum?" I ask.
"Anything Boo, you know that," she replies
"Well, I've got this person on my mind all the time. I've never really thought of them as more than a friend until recently," I say.
"Well Louis, sounds like you've got a bit of a crush," she says with a cheeky smile.
"I guess I do. I'm sure they don't feel the same way. What do I do mum?" I said as dramatically as I could.
"You should tell her Lou. It's the easiest way to figure out if she feels the same," she says.
I cringe as she says she and her. Mum noticed and gives me a questioning look.
"It's, well, it's not a girl," I say timidly.
Her facial expression softens and she pulls me into a hug.
"Oh, Boo I'm sorry for assuming. Whether you like boys or girls you'll always be my baby," he says.
"Boys. Definitely boys," I mumble.
"Well who is the lucky lad?" she questions excitedly.
"All in due time mum. All in due time," I reply.
"I've already got an idea of who it is anyway," she says with a shrug and a wink.
"Wha- I- Who?" I sputter.
"A little curly boy who happens to be around all the time," she says teasingly.
I just look down with a small smile and a blush coating my entire face.
"Awe I knew it! My little Boo has a crush on his best friend!" she exclaimed.
"Muuuum," I said, drawing out the word.
"Oh don't worry dear. I've expected this for years. Anne and I would be so happy if you two got together someday," she says.
I smile. I decide that's a good place to end this conversation. I walk back to my room and throw myself onto my bed.
"I have a crush on Harry," I say out loud.
I'm getting used to the idea. Thoughts of us being boyfriends float through my head. I definitely have a crush on Harry.
