Perspectives are all over the place in this one :D

Tommy definitely wasn't pleased to be so abruptly awoken. "What do you want," he said spitefully. It took Tommy a second to reappear in the dark room, Tubbo and Wilbur hovering nearby. Tommy wiped the sleep from his eyes when he saw Wilbur.

"Oh. Hi, Wilbur. You're... here. Wh- What are you guys doing here?" Tommy couldn't be bothered to apologize.

"We wanted to show you what we were working on! I thought you were missing out. Wilbur wants to try a couple things as well." Tubbo said cheerfully.

"No, but why is Wilbur here?"

"Oh. Possession. It's pretty simple." That was not the explanation Tommy was looking for. Tubbo could tell Tommy was still confused. "We did some experimenting, and Wilbur can do the same things we do. I didn't kill him, though."

It still didn't make any sense, but some things he just didn't understand. "Oh. I thought you told me not to experiment because it was dangerous."

"The switch you tried was dangerous." Wilbur chimed in. "I was going to try possession with either Tubbo or you if all three of us were here to back each other up." Wilbur laughed at himself. He definitely went too hard on Tommy earlier. He was probably the least qualified to warn anyone about danger. That was always Phil's job.

Tommy still seemed skeptical about Wilbur. "Oh. Fine. Can you show me what you found first?" Tubbo went through a brief recap of some energy stuff, light and sound, blah blah blah. He couldn't pay attention to half of it, and Tommy had already known by using Wilbur's microwave and the street lamp earlier. Wilbur showed Tommy a couple of the motion tricks they were experimenting with. It was all very simple and Tommy picked up on it very fast, but he still didn't like all of the uncertainties.

"So that's it?"

"Yeah, that's everything I've tried so far with Wilbur. Do you want to try possession with me or we can try it while we're at your place."

"No, no. Try it on Tubbo first. I'm not trying anything before he does," Tommy protested.

"Yeah, I'll see what the communication problem is, and Tommy, you can try it too." Tommy didn't really like that idea, but it seemed to be a solid plan.

"See, Tommy? This already making things so much more convenient now that we're all on the same page."

"Yeah, Tubbo. Good job figuring all this out." It was half sincere and almost sarcastic. Tommy was still a bit jealous that Tubbo had experimented with Wilbur when this was originally their problem. It sounded like there was no reason to be afraid, so he trusted them... to an extent. Trying new things first was still going to be a hard pass.

~~~~~~
All three of them were hovering around Tubbo's room.
"Wilbur, you try it." Tubbo urged. Wilbur looked hesitant. "You said it yourself, there's no danger. We're both right here," Tubbo insisted. Tommy still didn't like how casual this all was.
Wilbur took a deep breath and disappeared from sight.
"Hello?" Tommy could just barely make out Wilbur's voice, it was like radio static.
"He did it!" Tubbo smiled. "Wilbur can you hear us?" Tubbo asked.
"Hello?" Wilbur repeated again.
Tubbo turned to Tommy. "It's the same problem I had earlier, the communication through other bodies is one way transmission. We can hear Wilbur but he can't hear us."
Tommy shrugged. He honestly didn't care. None of this mattered anyways.
Wilbur reappeared. "No luck?"
"Yeah, it's the same problem as earlier." Tubbo repeated. "Tommy, you try it." Tommy's face drained.
Tommy stumbled over his words and gave Tubbo a nervous laugh. "Well, I don't think I should, you know, with everything, and you already got your answers-."
Tubbo nudged Tommy. "It's fine, just do it." Tubbo was being a bit harsh, but Tommy really needed the extra push.
"Okay, okay. It's your fault if anything happens, though."
"Nothing's going to happen. Wilbur's already tried it." Tubbo reassured him. Tommy tried to listen but he couldn't help but think back to the scare earlier. Wilbur had just been gone and Tommy was stuck in a slumped over body that wasn't breathing. His heart could have been beating at world record speeds while Wilbur's heart beat was absolutely nothing. It was fucking scary.
Tubbo continued, "All this is going to do is help you get over your little scramble earlier. There's nothing to fear."
Tommy was still a little worried that Wilbur was mad at him. After Wilbur came back, he was extremely angry, and everything began to come back to life, but Tommy still felt extremely guilty. He was in no place to apologize.
Tommy met Tubbo's gaze, and he saw utter and complete trust. He really didn't deserve it. Perhaps he was being too dramatic, but with a small smile, he reached down, and grabbed Tubbo's hand.
The same cold sensation rushed through his bones, but this time he was in control. He wasn't locked out. Everything synced up. Although it was all a bit misplaced, he could feel his senses coming back as if it were his own body. Much, much more stable than before. Tommy opened his eyes and began to sit up, but he heard a loud scream from Tubbo.
"Woah, woah, woah, Tommy stop!" Tommy froze half way out of bed. Tubbo was absolutely hysterical. "How'd you move? Wilbur- he- Tommy stop!"
Tommy had a strong feeling this wasn't supposed to happen. Tommy froze to slowly lay back down and followed the small lead back out of Tubbo's body. "What. Was that." Tommy glared at Tubbo in dead seriousness, the fear and hesitation showed in his eyes. "You said we weren't trying anything new. What was that."
"That wasn't supposed to happen. Wilbur you said that- oh I don't know." Tubbo threw his hands up in the air. "None of this makes any sense! We were doing perfectly fine and then I insisted Tommy try possession to make sure and now ALL OF THE RULES THAT I THOUGHT WERE TRUE WERE JUST PROVEN INVALID!"
Wilbur spoke up from the back corner. "To be fair, everyone's safe, which is significantly better from what Tommy tried earlier." Tommy shot Wilbur a glare. Wilbur shrugged, "Just saying."
"So this isn't big or what's the deal with you?" Tommy turned on Wilbur.
"Oh, no, this is absolutely your problem. I really have no part in this. I don't know the slightest about possession, only ghost hunting. You have fun."
"Wow, thanks for the help." Wilbur smiled from the corner and gave a thumbs up. He liked watching them bicker and didn't get involved. He messed things up when he got involved. He knew he didn't belong here, anyways. Wilbur was just taking up the role of the bad parent that Phil usually played. Wilbur could use Phil's help right about now. Or Niki's. Even Techno's. Anyone that could sympathize with being a stranger in someone else's world. He felt way out of place when Tommy and Tubbo were in their own realm, they just dragged him here to help.
"So this really doesn't change anything essential right? Possession is just a weird thing that I can do?" Tommy concluded. "And we never have to do it again."
"I mean I haven't tried it with you." Tommy was right about to protest, but Wilbur decided to step in.
"I say that you let Tubbo give it a try, and from there you can both decide what you want to do with it."
Tubbo punched the air. "Let's go!" Despite Tommy's protests, Tubbo was going to try it anyways. Wilbur said it himself, possession could cause no harm.
Tommy glanced at Wilbur and back at Tubbo. "Fine."
"Good." In a moment's notice Tubbo vanished from sight.
