Tommy frowned, "Go on, now, show us how you're so special and talented."

"Try it, Eret," Phil encouraged.

With a small tremble in his hand, Eret lifted Benson, multiple cords, potted plants, and even Tubbo's desk approximately an inch above the ground.

"Hey!" Tubbo shouted. He pushed his desk back to the ground and everything fell with a soft thud. Phil caught the plant behind him that almost fell from the windowsill, and Tubbo tried to make sense of the mess of wires pulled from their sockets.

Phil continued to explain. "Eret can lift stuff. Not just one thing, either everything or nothing."

"That's not helpful, anyone can lift stuff like a normal person," Tommy argued. "At least Techno's vanishing is useful. Annoying, but still, it's not out of control."

Eret glared at Tommy. "It's not out of control, it's just on and off. There is no inbetween."

"Like Techno's vanishing, on and off." Wilbur noted.

"Exactly. I think Tubbo had something similar. No idea what it was, but I'm not seeing any good coming out of staying ghosted for..."

Phil was interrupted by Tubbo's ringtone, the Wii Shop Theme, going off on his phone. Eret casually swiped left to ignore the call and let Phil continue.

"Anyways, it might not matter anymore, but Tubbo seems to always be fine until something happens."

Maybe it was an emergency and Eret had just ignored something important. Most likely not, but the curiosity still remained.

"Sorry, what? Oh, yeah, like ten minutes ago I saw everyone separated by these little gaps in the void, like Eret and Techno were still in the park, and Tommy had been walking with me. It wasn't really void, and it wasn't really a place, it was kinda like a..."

Tubbo's phone rang again. "Who is it?" Tubbo asked before Eret could move again.

"Ranboo."

"Oh, ok, I'll call him back later. Anyways, I watched Tommy grab my shoulder and then, boom, it all faded like a daydream. Is that my on and off thing?" Tubbo asked.

"Since when have you been able to do that?" Tommy said with a hint of jealousy. He had no reason to be jealous, the inbetween void wasn't any fun.

"Only once. It's kind of gone now."

"That's how it always is with you, no problem until tomorrow comes around and I'm busy," Tommy said irritatedly.

"I've been checking on everyone every hour or so," Phil chimed in. "So if you have a problem you could ask me, Techno, or Eret. There's no reason to bother Tommy."

"Tommy and I are the only ones capable of-" Tubbo's phone rang again.

Phil frowned. "Might as well pick it up. He's called you three times. It might be important."

Tubbo picked up the call. "Hello?"

Ranboo's low quality voice came through the phone speaker. "Hey, Tubbo, I needed to ask you about the origins server, if you're free..."

Tubbo hesitated, glancing at everyone staring at him, Tommy especially. "Uh, maybe in a bit."

"He can't hear you," Phil pointed out.

"Oh."

Tubbo handed Phil the phone as he lay back down in his body. Tommy's complaint faded out and back as his mind cleared and he sat up in bed. The room was yet again empty and dark, peacefully lit by the glow of his floating phone.

Tubbo shouted, "One sec," as he put in his airpods to not disturb the others. "You guys go ahead, I'll catch up later," Tubbo whispered.

"Anyways, go ahead," he said to Ranboo.

"A creeper got into the main villager area and recked the entire place. The entire skeleton farm is a mess. I tried to clean up what I could but they keep on spawning and I'm on-" Someone was pulling on the phone in his hands. Tubbo only tightened his grip.

Phil tried to stop Tommy, "Come on, we're going, leave Tubbo alone for a bit."

"... so can you get on?" Ranboo asked.

Tubbo glanced at his setup, which was a mess of disorganization and wires. "I'm kinda busy right now," Tubbo said through gritted teeth as Tommy pulled the phone out of his hands.

"Hey!" Tubbo hissed under his breath.

"Nevermind, we're going now," Phil said. The phone dropped to the floor.

"Thank you, Phil," Tubbo muttered quickly, if he was still there.

"Phil hasn't been active much for the past couple days," Ranboo rambled. "We had a project we were working on, I think I told you but we were cleaning up this giant..."

"Hey!" Tubbo shouted as his mouse started navigating on its own.

"What?"

"Not you, I'm on Minecraft with Tommy." It wasn't a complete lie.

Tubbo opened the Minecraft launcher, "Listen, give me one second." Tubbo secured his phone with his left hand as he booted up discord.

"I can deal with this myself," Ranboo offered, "just you're usually awake and I don't want to bother anyone else."

"No, I can help. I'm getting on."

Benson fell from his desk to the ground and Tommy laughed. "Can I talk to Ranboo?" Tommy asked, like a child.

Tubbo muted himself so Ranboo couldn't hear. "No, go away. I'll be done in a minute."

"I'm not leaving," Tommy said smuggly.

Tubbo swatted the air like trying to get rid of a fly near his head.

Like a sudden jolt, Tubbo was thrown out of his chair and back to his ghost form. "Tommy!" Tubbo shouted.

"Is he still giving you trouble?" Techno echoed laughed.

"Yes," Tubbo sighed as Tubbo's body moved without his permission.

"Actually, Ranboo," Tommy mocked in Tubbo's high pitched voice. "I'm hanging with Tommy right now, the superior, best friend, biggest man, and hater of all men."

Ranboo laughed, "Ha, yeah, sure. Now are you going to log on or not?"

"Tommyyy," Tubbo groaned. "I'll let you scroll through my phone if you let me back."

"No, I'm talking with the Mr. Boo."

Tubbo unplugged the chord to the computer. "Not anymore, and now you owe me a possession."

Tommy frowned. "That's not how it works."

"Yes, it is, so now I'm going to interrupt your day at the worst time possible," Tubbo threatened. "And I'm going to go complain to Phil and Techno."

Tubbo cringed at the face Tommy pulled, sticking out his tongue in the most hideous way possible.

"I'll get Eret to lift your ass out of my body," Tubbo said stubbornly. "Or better, I'll send you to the void, so move."

Tommy refused to budge.

In a moment of rashness and annoyance, Tubbo tried to take back control from Tommy. Tommy wasn't letting go of his body and Tubbo could feel a headache start to flare. Fine, have it your way. Tubbo felt himself slip, so he grabbed onto Tommy's with him.

Tubbo's small grudge of emotions fell like a lock closing down on itself extremely fast, and had he not been dragged into the fall, Tubbo would have been proud of his control.

Like slamming a door shut, Tommy gasped, heart racing and a lump in his throat as his vision cleared. Tubbo brought no one else with them, only the emptiness of pitch black void.

"I don't..." Tubbo muttered, out of breath, "make idle threats."
