It started to rain on the way back to Slender Mansion. It started out slowly, with just a sprinkling of droplets on my windshield, but the further we drove, the more it came down. Soon I couldn't see the road in front of me, and the sheer amount of rain was creating rivers in the street. Helen was silent in the back seat with Jane, who was keeping a close eye on him. "I'm going to have to pull over," I said over the roar of the rain, "I can't see the road, and we might crash."

"Fine," Jane sighed, and I could picture her crossing her arms irritably in my head. "Where are we going to go?"

"I don't know," I admitted, trying to see through the pools of rain on my windshield. I peered through the spotty glass as the wipers wiped away the rain and saw an exit down a dirt road, with nothing but a handmade wooden sign reading 'The Williams'. I grimaced, but turned down the bumpy road, knowing if I went any further I risked getting into an accident. And Dad wouldn't be happy about that. The road was even bumpier than I thought it was from looking at it, and my entire car shook and rumbled in protest as I drove down it as carefully as I could.

"What the hell, (Y/N)!? Where are we?" Jane snapped as I drove over a particularly large bump.

"Down some road, chill. Look, we can just pull over here and wait until the rain gets a little better," I said, gritting my teeth as we drove over another big bump.

Thick trees surrounded us as I drove deeper down the path, the road becoming more and more overgrown. The lush foliage shielded some of the rain, and I could finally see better through the windshield. I spotted a small cottage at the end of the path, covered in ivy.

Hello readers!

I have noticed a lot of recent attention to this fic and I can't say I don't appreciate it, I do, very much so. However, I haven't been into Creepypasta since I was 13 (and I'm in college now!). Long story short, there's no reason to keep updating this book. I apologize to new readers who are just now discovering the story and asking for more, but I cannot bring myself to write something that I am not interested in, not when it doesn't bring me any satisfaction and only makes me bored. The only reason why I even began re-writing this story was because it was the only way I could still write for fun, even if I didn't like Creepypasta itself any more.

If you truly want to know what happens next, the original story is still up on my account, although the writing is full of mistakes and it's just very cringeworthy overall, so I would tread carefully if I were you. Also, to address a few controversies: again, I wrote the original story when I was 11/12 and the rewrite only a few years later when I was no longer involved in the fandom—I was unaware of a lot of the problematic issues in my work. I did not know about the cheesecake joke being a weight related joke towards the actor for Masky in the original Marble Hornets series. I never watched Marble Hornets and I went off of what I saw in multiple other fanfiction works, thinking it was an inside joke for the fandom or something, not knowing its true origin. I also know that I probably misrepresented a lot of mental disorders, also due to my ignorance and youth. Lastly, the age of the Y/N character and the creepypastas—in the original fic I believe Y/N is supposed to be around 16, but I'm unsure if I aged up all of the younger pastas (I think I did). Regardless, I always intended for Y/N's character to be close in age with whichever pasta she ended up with in the end. However in this rewrite, all of the pastas are their original ages, which means Jeff is only 13, BEN would have been 10, and Eyeless Jack 21-22 (college/uni student). I was planning on changing the romance up in this rewrite, so that instead of there being possible romance between Y/N and all of the characters, it would be a more platonic relationship. Because of the varying ages, it's hard to make Y/N an appropriate age for everyone, since in the original every pasta in the mansion (save for Slenderman and the animals) had a romantic ending with her. I never intended for anyone to be offended by my OOC portrayal of these characters—I was a sheltered child writing stories for fun.

I apologize once again for this final update, but it's long overdue. I wanted to post the last few paragraphs I had in my drafts to just get it all out, and I thought adding an explanation for my absence and lack of updates would be fitting and necessary.

If you have any other questions about anything, feel free to comment or send a message. I'm not usually available here as I don't regularly check this account (so don't expect quick responses, sorry) but when I can, I'll make sure to reply. Thanks for all the support!
